If Mariota drops to us, there has got to be a trade partner. This is the ideal scenario. We move back, pick up additional high picks and fill multiple holes with quality players.

I worry teams will under estimate us actually taking Mariota so they will trade with Jets or the Jets will pick him up. Only time will tell. Drafting Mariota and keeping him wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if that happens. Once again I am not suggesting or wanting us to take him but I've seen us do worse in the draft before.

If there is more than 1 team that is looking to draft him, they will have to get him before the jets pick. My concern is that they trade with the raiders to be sure.

Well on the bright side, we are avoiding the temptation to outspend every one on these contracts. On the not so bright side, we might have another long year of saying how could we not try and fix the O-line. The longer Chris Chester remains under contract, the bleaker the outlook for the line gets.

i agree that we should actually fully commit to making the o line better, this 3rd round o linemen shit hasn't been working as of now, i think long will be good though. we need to stop just dipping our feet in and jump in that bitch.
