Getting Williams at 5 would be awesome. Won't happen but it was be tremendous.
I agree. One of the few that I would take and not try and trade the pick. Unfortunately he is not going to be there at 5.

back in the day when long haired humanoids roamed the espn board we were told that no way brian orakpo would fall to us at 13 . then poof , he is there and we select him .
it isnt beyond the realm of possibility that williams will be there for us . the 2 qbs come off the board with the 1st 2 picks then you get jax and they feel that cooper is the BPA and select him .
the raiders come up and say boy wouldnt an edge rusher like ray or gregory fit us better then williams and presto williams is there
now i understand not counting on that but all the teams above us have a lot of holes too so perhaps williams could sneak down to us
keep hope alive my friend and my new motto , less mean in 15![]()
2015 NFL Mock Draft No. 1: Marcus Mariota, Jameis Winston go 1-2 - CBSSports.com
Not sure I buy Kirwan's logic on if Rak is resigned we draft a Tackle. Does that fall away from taking the best player available period? If Kirwan thinks Gregory is the best available player he should not hedge his bet. Scot has said he is not drafting for need.
I am not blown away by Gregory, but real talent evaluators can project his success on the next level.
Shane Ray falling completely out of the first round? WTF???
Gregory is intriguing but he just looks so small to me. But he has speed and you gotta love a defense with speed.
That is odd.
Here McShay gives us Ray at 5, although he says he has not studied him a lot yet.
McShay's second mock fills a Redskins need, desire - Washington Redskins Blog - ESPN
I'm not so sure about ray at 5. He is not big at all for a 3-4 Olb. He is only 6'2" and 240 lbs. so there is not much room to grow. If he's the BPA at 5, I'd still try and trade back.
I find it strange that McShay would give us a guy he has not studied
I find it strange that McShay would give us a guy he has not studied
Just a thought........maybe he like too many others, views Washington as an afterthought, unworthy of much consideration or at best not deserving of a player that could help the team.
well you can excuse his crap if you want to . the fact is he is a draft "expert " and hence he needs to show the professionalism to know what the heck he is talking about
if that is your standard then so be it but i will dismiss his guesses until he shows me he cares about the product he puts out
It amazes me that some people can't bring themselves to the point where they understand that there are draft "experts" prognosticators, people who know and have played the game, reporters pundits and current insiders that make statements contrary to what fans of this team want to hear.
By the way I never mentioned anything about what he produced, just gave an unmentioned alternative as to why he might have felt a need to publish what he did. Call it an excuse if that makes you feel better, but it is far better explanation than anything that anyone else has offered as to why he would do this without studying.
really, OT, OLB, DE or DT. We have some potential game changers at 5 "IF" they work out and can make an impact. On the other hand, trading the 5th, to land two 1st rounders and perhaps an additional lower round pick, seems very worth it. You just never know who will reach....
