It's gonna be Murray DJOKOVIC.. Final.
Anyone staying up for the 3:30am SF?
Insane hour.

I've done it in some of the past years.

But yes, I need to nap before.

For some of the long SFs in years past, I'd watch about 4 sets, then watch the 5th the next day.

(Like the Verdasco - Nadal 2009 SF, or the Murray-Djokovic 2012 one).

If it's a Murray-Wawrinka Finals, I don't want either to lose.

I've been wanting Murray to finally win a AO, after he lost in 2 Finals (now 3).

But I also want Wawrinka to continue to get respect, and I think he has to win the big one again, to establish himself as a consistent force.

Are DVR or ESPN 3 on-demand replays, options for you?

ESPN3 is but it is so hard to avoid me not finding out the score.

I go to work for 8 tmr so it is likely unless someone wins in straights which I highly doubt that when I wake up for work at 545 that I can catch a set before I leave

I should be able to see the finals though. I plan on going out Saturday night and probably will just be getting in just as the finals is getting set to start

It is ridiculous even for those on the West Coast. People have work in the morning. It is hard to stay up at that time in the middle of the week on either coast

This is why Serena has won 17 slams. Competition just mentally folds. Too easy.

Nobody folds like a cheap suit before Serena than Maria Sharapova. The Russians players fold when they face Maria Sharapova. What the hell, Alexandra Panova had three match points against Maria and completely went off the rail. Unbelievable. Let us see whether Maria can put up against her nemesis, Serena, the same resistance she put up against other lesser players. With Serena gunning for nineteenth and her special dislike of losing especially to Maria because of how the media treated those 2 wins Maria had over her in the past, it is going to be awfully tough for Maria to beat her unless Serena's legendary serve deserts her and UE creep in. But then again, Maria's awful serve is not completely gone. We shall see.

I fell asleep after staying up in the middle of the night for 3.5 hours. Now, I'm tired as fuck and don't even know what happened...afraid to look. DJoke was up 1-0 in the 5th last I remember.

I didn't check the PVR record length and TSN fucked me only running the time slot for 2.5 hours.....

Why don't you guys use sportlemon.tv stream? Live and clear. Unless you are HD freaks.

Wasn't a great match at all as neither player played their best but these 2 almost always manage to go the distance at a hard court major

I was laying in bed at 4AM watching the Tennis Channel. DirecTV has all the matches live for all the big tournies. They even have a channel that shows all the matches happening so you can bounce around to each.

Blowout fifth. Stan had nothing left in the tank. I think Djoko and Fed are the fittest on the tour at the moment. Didn't expect a bagel.

Murray's up there with Fed and Nole with fitness. They all train crazy.

I think Murray and Nole are both in top form, so it's going to be a spectacular final. Can't wait.

According to HS, Serena never wins majors. Others lose them.

No logic. Don't even try.

Agree. Too many errors, but the fact that they went 5 sets 4 straight times at a major is impressive.

The 5th set score wasn't as bad as it seemed, as the games were competitive, at least. Several deuce games. It would be worse if some of those games had been 1.5 mins or less.

Overall, there were a few good points which showed their impressive shotmaking, to still make it worth watching.

I'll upload a clip of the Wawrinka drop shot that saved a break point, in the 4th, sometime this weekend.

The eyedrops both players used early in the match was the extent the players got treatment.

Wawrinka shouldn't keep the ball in play much in the last set.

Anytime a major is involved, I set a series recording, and automatically add 3 hours additional time, to every recording in that series.

It's helped during these late matches.

Murray's only advantage is an extra day of rest which will just even the field some but Djoker will walk away with the title!
