Cooper would cost more to release than keep. So unless you dupe someone into taking on his guaranteed salary (not likely), I dont think a big move at WR happens. Im betting they tried to do it a few months ago when inquiring about VIncent Jackson & got laughed at.

Probably just see Matthews & Huff continue to eat into Coopers playing time.

IMO WR isnt a huge problem though because we have MAclin, Matthews & Huff + Ertz & Sproles are pseudo WRs. Its more about the QB & OL. Those two areas need addressing on Offense.

Redzone was much improved with Sanchez/Oline getting healthy. Foles & the backups were horrible in the Redzone this year vs damn good the year before. Need to get a better G though. QB will be tough.

I would have just kept the nutcase we knew in Jackson in the first place. Rather draft a speedy WR in the draft than take on a big contract nut job.

Yea, best bet is to find a speed demon in draft that can also do punt returns in rd. 4 or later. Sproles wont last forever.

I like that kid from Miami. Phillip Dorsett.

Another WR Id take a flyer on is that kid from Ohio State. Evan Spencer. Could be a steal late in draft.

Undrafted free agent according to CBS Sports who actually updates their stuff very frequently ... the kid destroyed Wisconsin prior to the Bama game, yet little fan fare. I think he "should" get mention as a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Rey you better check around.... NFL scouts already had him as a 2nd rd grade prior to the Bama game... Rotoworld has him late 1st early second.... If you look around you will find scouts or NFL Personel that say he was flying under the radar but was gaining momentum about 4 weeks ago and had been on a steady climb up the boards. That site your talking about had John Brown as a 7th rd pick - UDFA last year.

I expect that Chip having the power, will solve the defensive holes in free agency, so he can get his QB, and WR in the beginning of the draft.

Those articles are both less than a month old ... my point was that Smith has been doing the same thing for a while, it shouldn't have taken this long for people to notice him. I follow rankings year round and I hadn't seen Smith rated any higher than Rd 5 till recently.

I agree ... I think with Maclin getting re-signed, Cooper being untradeable and costing us money to release ... and Matthews showing a lot of promise ... they may not even go WR till Rd 6 or 7.

more of a chance they sign a reciever like Vincen jackson then draft one. Last year was the year of drafting recives. This year should be about defense. But with Chippy in charge I wouldnt b suprised if all 7 pcks are on the offensiv side of the ball
