Are your other receivers top notch?

Mike Evans has been a beast for two weeks, but it's two weeks. I plan on Jordy putting up double digits on the reg.

This is a monster deal.

Seems like an awful lot for an oft injured RB, an inconsistent WR, and a QB who is only about ten points a week better than what you've got. .. and honestly it's probably a lot closer than that, I can't imagine rivers having another -3 week.

I wouldn't do it, too pricy

I would do that. Peyton is a huge upgrade over Rivers and Gio is injured also. Foster is a top 3 RB when healthy and Gio and Mathews may each be in timeshares when they return.

Mike Evans is closer to Jordy than Gio is to Foster, IMO.

Personally I think everyone is hypnotized by the name "Peyton Manning" I don't see the great value in the deal for you. . But it is awfully close

Interesting trade offer. I'd like it a lot more if the two WRs were removed, but I think I go for it anyways.

I'd do it too.

I trade jordy, rivers, Gio, Ryan Matthews for foster, Peyton, mike Evans do I do it?

21.9 - Rivers
14.7 - Jordy
8.5 - Ryan Mathews
9.7 - Gio
==============
54.8

30.4 - Manning
17.1 - Foster
9.3 - Evans
==============
56.8

Assuming these are all starters (and I know that they may not all be) you'd get more production from 3 players than 4.

Watch where you're throwing that everyone mister!

If Mike Evans is going to be a third option at WR Id feel good about adding Manning. But Im doubting that's the case.

That's also assuming Evans, who's gotten exactly % 50 of his points in the past two weeks, is going to maintain some sort of consistency, and also assuming Foster's leg injury doesn't linger, and also assuming Rivers has another -3 at some point this year. I'm not buying it. .. but. .. it's not in any way a team killer if you take it, strong either way. However, standing pat, you maintain better depth at RB in case you need it.

Not just Manning.

He is getting the 2 best players in the deal. The team who gets the best player usually wins the trade, right?

The only way I don't do this is if I were facing a must win this week.

Also, I am not expecting Evans to be consistent. Thing is, he does not have to be. The deal hinges on Foster. If Foster is able to return soon ( I think he will), then manning and Foster will combine to give more points than Rivers, Jordy, and any 1 of those RBs on most weeks.

Whether Evans gives you 20 yards or 120 with 2 TDs, his contributions are gravy.

I'd rather deal with the Gio injury with Mathews insurance than deal with the Foster injury empty. I'm higher on Jordy than most. And like Treff says, that -3 seems to be a misleading outlier.

Evans is all they have for making big plays. VJac just is not that great now. Evans has the fans excited and as bad as the bucs are they have to throw a lot. He's not just done well the last two weeks. He scored against the ravens and saints. He's had a TD in four of his last five games. He appears to be passing Jackson.

The fans excitement? There's a new way to determine your fantasy roster.

And you know what happens to a WR who suddenly becomes a big deal opposite of an established stud? The defenses stop focusing on the established guy and play more honest across the board. IE.. little bit more attention directed at Evans.. little less available to focus on VJax. And yes he's got TD's in those games. Still doesn't change the fact that in a standard scoring league he's scored 42 of 84 points in the past 2 weeks, one of which was against the 32nd ranked pass defense.

I like Evans, really do, but with Vjax, and friggin McCown.. there's little to no chance of him being a strong, consistent WR2
