Self-proclaimed Asshole
I know everybody is sick of all this Jeter stuff, but it's the top of the 9th - kind of a nice scene with him out there...
Be glad when he's gone.

To me, it looked liked he hit .395 when we were ahead or behind by 3, and .260 when it counted.
Can't tell you the number of games I sat through back in the 80's when he'd go 3-4 and we'd lose by 5. Then the next night we'd win by one and he was 1-5.
The Winter Meetings are in San Diego this year Dec. 7-11. If I remember correctly the Rule 5 draft is usually done on the last day.
Again, my sincere thanks for knowing the facts.
This year's WM may be a lot more interesting than some in the recent past.
Be glad when he's gone.
And thank you Gawd for the Yankees not making the post season!
Can you imagine the Jeter jerk-off we'd have had to put up with if they had managed to wiggle in?
D id you hear Keith O'berman's take on him?Be glad when he's gone.

Nope.[/QUOTEHe named off several Yankee greats and said Jeeter doesn't belong in the same class with the Babe Mick DiMaggio etc.
I suspect we will have some trades done even before then trying to reduce our roster size. We are going to have do do a handful of 2 for 1 trades or 3 for 2 trades to get our roster down to size.

Totally agree. He's right. He's a legitimate HOF'er, but not on the same tier as those guys
Totally agree.
I am looking forward to this. Better chance on getting a pitcher I suppose.Again, my sincere thanks for knowing the facts.

Well they probably didn't even know about Kubeck and Richardson. To hear these guys tell it, he's the greatest Yankee who ever played.![]()

True....but then again, how could he? How could anyone?
I'm sick, sick, sick of hearing all the Jeterism.
But when you look at what he accomplished - under the biggest spotlight on the baseball planet - and compare his numbers to other SS, much less players.....he's been truly terrific.
It's not like I hate him. Don't. I'm just totally fatigued with the NY driven media carping about him.
