Really not must else to say. Texas cannot lose right now and the A's invent ways to lose. The A's were the first team to 70 wins and might not win 90 now. Enjoy the final series of this awful season. Bye bye 2014 Rangers...you made absolutely no sense.

I remember folks telling me over and over again that the Rangers could never trade Michael Young because of his unfriendly contract. Yet, we did trade him and got Bonilla for him. The next time someone tells you we can't trade away aging veterans with unfriendly contracts just point to the only Ranger pitcher ever to win his first three starts in the big leagues as proof that it can be done.

Heh, Bonilla winning all three starts is pretty random. Who knows if he will stick around, but that sinker looks pretty good. Pudge was raving about it last night.

Diamondbacks 63-96 Athletics 86-72
Rangers 65-93 Mariners 83-75
Rockies 66-93 Indians 83-76
Twins 68-90
Astros 69-90
Red Sox 69-89

I guess we should hope for a split. The Rangers have no business catching or tying teams like the Astros, Red Sox, and Twins when we've been trailing them all year. To make matters worse, I doubt that even if we sweep the A's, that the Mariners or Indians won't win enough games to tie. This series won't be as fun as I thought it would be one week ago... I have to hold my nose and hope the A's win 2 or 3

His stuff looks pretty nasty, and seems to have good mound presence. But he's wild and of the few outings we've seen, base runners can take advantage of him. Both of these things he's got to work on.

He does give us a bright spot from a potential starter in the future though.

If Feliz has indeed rediscovered himself and he can be counted on, this really helps our overall BP situation.

I've touched on this before, but here's the competition for the BP to open the season 2015 IMO:

Scheppers, Klein, Mendez, Patton, Tolleson, Knebel, Poreda, West, Ross and we may want to try and keep Baker or Cotts, and Font will hopefully fulfill his potential sometime this decade.

Don't forget Claudio, Ortiz, and Ogando.

I did indeed forget about Ortiz.

However, I didn't with Claudio or Ogando.

I have no faith whatsoever in Claudio, and I suspect the FO is right on the verge of punting on Ogando ever being anything more than good when he pitches, but an injury in waiting; frankly I agree.

Right now it's Claudio and Kirkman as the lefties. That doesn't have me extremely excited, but somehow Claudio has been getting the job done. I just feel like at any point he will start to be figured out and will start getting rocked. I wpuldnt hate it if we picked up a LH specialist, and told Kirkman to pack his shit.

You aren't the only one I've seen with these thoughts on Ogando. While I understand them, I think he might get one more chance here. He's still going to be cheap, and he is versatile. If he gets hurt again then cut him loose. I don't like throwing away former All Stars that throw in the mid 90's.

I don't think Ogando has been healthy for well over a year now. The problem is our medical staff has a hard time getting our players healthy once they are hurt. Don't be surprised if we find out that Scheppers isn't well yet either.

I will take Claudio over Kirkman 8 days a week.

For the life of me, I can not understand why Kirkman is still around. He has had his time now let someone else have theirs.

Nah. I'll stick with this. Until Mav season starts. May not follow the playoffs. Ranger season kinda got me baseballed out.

Kinda BB out. Ready for the Cowboys. Never liked basketball or hockey.

He made about 2.6 this season, and now he's ready for arbitration.

I believe he's been on the DL 4/5 times in the last 2 years alone, plus he's 30 years old. I'm kind of thinking the FO is about ready to go to a healthier, younger, cheaper option.

But I understand whole-heartedly your apprehension on getting rid of guy who, when healthy, can compete with the best.

Never really a basketball fan myself but that magical 2011 season sure peaked my interest. Right now only Metroplex team to do anything playoff-wise. Or at least make it that far.

For me, I love college football so much. It's second to baseball.

Not really a basketball fan, and if I never heard the word hockey again I'd be just fine.

To each their own.
