Now there are lots of threads filled with the trolls who's lives are better now that Seattle lost one game. So I figure i'd post this thread instead of getting my message lost in the troll euphoria.

SD played a great F'in game. MAN was it frustrating to watch. Im not going to go as far to say thats the "playbook" on how to beat Seattle cause that is oversimplifying it. Not alot of teams can do what SD just did.

They owned t.o.p with their dink and dunk offense and really frustrated the hawks D. Now obviously the 120 degree temp played a part. (WTF SD is usually pretty mild where did that come from?)

Rivers played a perfect game. The ball bounced their way on the 3 fumbles the hawks caused recovering all 3. And their D did just enough to hold on.

Now I know what other fans meant by saying you get everyones best shot when your the champ.

Tip of the cap to ya.

Well I don't think the 96 degree day (not 120 - not even close) played into it really. I mean, the Chargers are used to it in the 70s, not the 90s. It was a hot day for any team really.

The NFL is like that. San Diego is a good team and at home, if they play a good team, they can beat a team like Seattle.

Man, I didn't realize how tough the front end of Seattle's schedule is. Green Bay, @ San Diego, Denver.

Inclement weather always benefits the home team. It's not that they are accustomed to it more than the other team. It just amplifies home field for them. It's little things like selecting your white uniforms rather than the dark ones. The crowd also helps you keep energized.

Does that mean the Hawks win if the weather was normal? Not necessarily. It just means that the hot weather did help the Chargers.

It was a fun game to watch. But man, does Philip Rivers have one unorthodox release or what

The sideline reporter made a big SportsHoopla standing next to a thermometer on the field that said 120 degrees.....thats where i got it.

Anyways I dont think thats why seattle lost. We lost cause Philip Rivers played a masterful game. "I call it dinking and dunking" but it freaking worked. They were constantly in 3rd and short, which got them first downs, which kept the D on the field for basically all game....then you consider the heat, and it was a perfect game plan and execution.

Like I said, a tip of of the cap.

The bright side for Seattle, considering how badly beaten you were.... to have the ball TWICE in the fourth down 6..... ill take that. Gotta finish next time.

You can't be serious, you do realize that the Chargers are humans also and wear the same equipment and sweat the same as well as tire the same as any other human ,right !!!!
C'mon man," pride's not hard to swallow, once you've chewed it long enough"....
Just admit that your boys fell to the better team Sunday, and move on......
They have another great qb with redemption on his mind coming up next, so careful what you say, lest it become whining with another loss.....

Wait, what? Where did I not give credit to the Chargers? They deserved the win and I give them full credit for it.

Just because I point out the obvious that home team's get a benefit from inclement weather, doesn't mean that the Chargers did not deserve the win. They absolutely did.

If you don't want fans coming at your team you can always root for a shitty franchise who never make the playoffs like the jags

I think game plan changes for Seattle on defense could have won the game for them but they didn't make any halftime adjustments. SD continued to chew up the clock with medium to short passes that all led to scores. Getting more physical and not allowing those passes could have forced more inconsistency. All day they kept waiting for Rivers to miss and he only rarely did. Seattle's offense scored too quickly they needed some clock management as SD did.

Well every team has home field advantage, that's a given, but hot and cold weather effects both teams the same....
It's not an advantage to either......Wind can be an advantage against a passing team and snow against a running team, but heat and cold are equal for both....

I'm sure the Chargers will now lose the next 3 games.

Actually I though Gates made the Seahawks linebackers look bad. He may be old, but he still has some great hands.

Reports are 3 passes targeted for 3 completions, 31 yards, none over the top and no TD's.
You are one tough crowd to please.
