Willingly taking a talented player off the field doesn't sound like something Cowboys owner Jerry Jones would be excited about doing. This is going to be a difficult problem for the Cowboys to solve, and it's way too early to assume that any long suspension would be forthcoming from the team or the NFL.

This recent conversation is why the NFL needs a set of rules that will set what a suspension will be if it falls to them to make a judgement on it. IMO they would have to wait for a court to decide a non football issue and if there were no punishment by the court then no punishment by the League...period. That goes against some posts I have made before but this bullshit needs to end. The NFL need not step in until it is a true violation of the Policy.

Totally incorrect, I never said either was totally innocent or guilty......But with your own analysis, let's look at this......Ben was never even charged with a crime, but clearly violated the NFL conduct policy and was handed down a penalty, appealed and reduced with therapy......Was he guilty, he was guilty of what he got penalized for but as far as a crime, absolutely not.....
Ray in a similar situation, but charged by the law.....After evaluating the evidence decided that an intervention or voluntary therapy was all that was justified.....
The league hands down the penalties and does not reveal any evidence that they do or do not have.....So in these cases, it's DONE......
But think about this, if they were both guilty, which is worse; hitting a woman or raping a young college girl ?
