Go Rockies go!!
In his two walk off's (walk/hit) in this homestand he had a plan when he went up to bat. He watched Andrus at bat and saw how wild the pitcher was and decided to make him throw strikes and he drew the game winning walk. Today he knew that Street threw sliders 60-70% of the time and looked for a slider. Does not mean the hitter will be successful but at least he knew what he wanted to do when he his turn came.
Lee I felt was a little bit of a coward because he really felt like the weight of the Rangers making it back to the WS was on him and by going to Philly he had Halladay and Hamels to help carry the load. I would have loved to have him for 2011 but not for the money and years he wanted.
Could use the magic is right though for this off season.
He did well. They had some hard hot balls for outs. I just think NT will always be about a 4-5 ERA guy. He just doesn't miss the bat very often it seems.
Great Duane. Amazing!Cuddyer hits for the cycle and the rockies win both games.
Gosh....A Ranger who went to plate with a plan.....Unprecedented
I don't know exactly what some are expecting from Tepesch. But for a guy to go 7 innings, give up 2 earned runs with only 6 hits against the team with the most wins in the majors is what I'm looking for!
And 3 of those hits were the seeing-eye type.
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Mired in a season-long slump, Los Angeles Angels slugging outfielder Josh Hamilton took himself out of Sunday's lineup against the Texas Rangers for a mental break.
"Yeah, I asked [Angels manager Mike Scioscia] could I have a day because I felt like I was spinning my wheels and felt like I wasn't getting anywhere," Hamilton said after the Angels' 3-2 loss to the Rangers on Sunday. "So sometimes it's good to do that and take a step back."
Welcome to the wonderful world of Josh Hamilton Anaheim.
Probably a product of Sosh saying Josh wasn't the same player they saw in the opposing dugout vs the Rangers. The issue is once a head case always a head case. The Angels gambled on more and got what they will continue to get, a declining OF with injury issues that keep him off the field due to his body breaking down from years of drug use.
Same thing could happen to Yu if we don't put some quality pitchers around him. He could bolt first chance. Sure he felt some weight this year.
They had at least 3 seeing eye hits in the first 2 innings which produced a run too.

Me neither. It could very well be him instead of Thompson, but Ortiz probably will be in front of both of them eventually. It is a good problem to have. I think both nicks and Jackson all will be decent MLB pitchers. I really wonder if Jackson is hurt with all of the problems he is having right now.
A lot of folks tend to give up on young players too early. Then once their opinion is formed it is hard to change their mind.
Sure, I understand the "show me first" way of thinking. I am going more on what I have read about him and I am also taking into account the good history this organization has had of late with guys in the lower levels delivering after they were highly touted. It will be interesting to see how he progresses. He has already accomplished something by being at Hickory so soon. Time will tell.Personally I'd have to see more of Ortiz first, he might be a fine prospect, but I have to give Thompson a nod, at this point, b/c he actually seems to be doing it at a higher level than Ortiz, now if Ortiz gets to AA and is still dominating then I give him bonus points, bc then it starts to mean something to me
A+ ball to AA is usually seen as the biggest jump in terms of talent, its usually a good time to start making assertions about their ability to "make it"
I'm still wait and see on Ortiz, I was the same way with Chi Chi, I was indifferent to him or even Luke Jackson until the did some good work in AA, having accomplished that, I'm definitely looking towards keeping them around for a while
Terps thinks he is a AA pitcher but he better be looking forward to seeing him as the 4th starter for the Rangers next year because Daniels isn't going to get anything much done on the FA market in the offseason and likely won't trade for a 3 or 4 starter type either. Darvish Holland Tepesch and Colby will all likely be in the rotation for 2015. Hope they are all healthy and can stay that way

God I hope you are wrong because that's a 100+ loss team
