He isn't getting it done at the big league level. And from the looks of his stuff, unless he finds a consistent change up (which btw is commonly regarded as the toughest pitch for a righty to learn to throw and a lot of it is just natural "feel") then it doesnt make me look stupid saying he looks like a AA starter. His stuff looks just like one. I don't really see vast differences in most of the AA pitchers I see and him. Whether or not he's a AA starter can be an argument sure, but right now he isn't ready for the show. So whatever, triple AAA. My point was that he isnt ready to be up here and wont consistently succeed until he figures that 3rd pitch.

Most would disagree with you it seems

I still think he's a ML pitcher, just a below average one at this point, still makes him better than an average AA pitcher, or even an average AAA pitcher

that ball was charged and an easy throw, Pettis is a fucking idiot

Absolutely no reason to run into an out like that.

Pettis has got to go. He needs to be gone more so than anyone. And I mean anyone.

We said the same of Anderson and now that he's gone we want Pettis gone...I am wondering if there is other problems at play?

That was not a strike!

Looked further inside than the one he called a ball, but he can't keep up with the count so why would i think he can call balls and strikes

How many games has Darvish pitched 7 innings in this season? Given up 4 hits and 2 earned?

I don't have visions of grandiose for Tep. Not interesting in casting him aside either.

So Tepesch goes 7 innings gives up 2 runs on 4 hits without walking anyone and Terps is trying to convince us that he's not good enough. I get that we shouldn't be slaves to the moment, but tonight was not the right night to bring up that argument. I would take that shit from Nick every day.

Our best base stealers are at the top of the AL on caught stealing (EA, Martin, and Rios). We have been picked off a ton in the last 2 years and Pettis was at 1B last year.

I would say he's 2nd on my list to go behind Magadan.

He can't run the bases for them. At some point we need to hold the players accountable.

Exactly what I pointed out in post 334.

This guy is such a bullying punk. Yet can't keep up with a 2 and 2 count. :L

I would take that SHIT from every starter we have every day. No exceptions.

We wouldn't be 72 down in the loss column if we did this.

Nah just 52, because the offense is too inconsistent. And you know the bullpen.

You're right about the offense. But the BP wouldn't be nearly as exposed or exhausted if our starters didn't consistently go less than 6 innings.

And 66-52 sounds really good to me!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Tepesch continue to improve and be in the rotation next year.

If the Rangers don't spend some money or make a trade he will be there out of necessity.
