Probably the most valuable part of the Pats practice is for Gruden and the rest of the team watch a championship team and HOW they practice. Apparently their tempo of practice is much greater than the skins.

Ok, I know we are anxious to see Djax do his thing right away, but to be honest I want to see who deserves to earn a roster spot. Everybody moves up in the order and they get to go against number ones out of the gate. Yes, getting the timing with RG3 down for Desean takes a hit for a week, but that is less of a concern. Not spewing over optimism, I just believe we can learn more by putting some of the bubble guys out there vs the Pats first team.

And this was exactly why Gruden picked up the phone and called Bill. He knows first hand what he is doing and it was likely not so much for him as it was the team players and coaches. Gruden wanted his players to see first hand how the Pats work in unison, their tempo in practice and how efficient they are even if its just on the practice field. Once Thursday is over, I'm certain those topics will be discussed in detail before moving on to week 2 of the preseason. It's time to start doing things differently in Skins nation. A hurry up offense? What's that? Never had that in Shanahan camp. Checking out of plays based on coverage schemes? What's that? Not allowed under the old regime. Things need to change and they will.

this camp is helping out gruden and mcvay just as much, if not more than our players.

When you say "championship team" I hope you're referring to their last AFC Championship in 2011 and not the Pats last SB Championship of 2004? RG3 was like 13 years old the last time the Pats won the Super Bowl....just sayin'

Bill BeliCHICK is a good coach, but how good/great is he really without Brady? He's won how many championships without Brady? Same number as Romo last time I checked. It's a quarterback league peeps...hopefully, our franchise QB got some advise/tips from Brady...but, BelliCHICK please.

I think our HC has many, many resources he can tap into for "HOW they practice"...

H to the T and T to the R my brothers and sisters, its good to be a REDSKINS fan!

How has the defense been the last two days? Should we be worried about the Oline and RG3? I mean I know it's going to take time for RG3 to be a pocket passer..but he's always running around trying to avoid sacks while Tom Brady on the other hand is calm in the pocket..should RG3 be more calm in the pocket and trust his Oline to block?

Now with the defense do you guys think having these joint practices will help them better prepare for Chip Kelly and the Eagles fast paced up tempo offense? Hopefully the Redskins and Jay a Gruden learned a thing or two from the Patriots.

Belicheck called the Redskins not the other way around. Actually he called Bruce Allen. Lord knows the Shanahan deal didn't work out but the continued bashing of a coach who has proven himself over the years is almost hilarious. You have a starting QB that is learning NFL QBing 101. Not to mention they ran some hurry up last year because Robert talked about how he liked it. Who is everyone going to blame if and when Griffin starts out slow this year?

You have already seen the GM and HC come out and say Robert has a lot to learn. It doesn't mean he can't learn or that he won't be productive but it might take some time.

Tdog... I dont think you can fairly judge either defense in 3/4 speed practices where the QB is also off limits. Our defense is going to be based off of the pass rush, which is missing at least two key players at the moment. I wont say these practices are useless, but i expect to see a totally different defense when we are actually game planning for teams. Brady has been running that offense since RG3 was in middle school. He is supposed to stitch a defense that did no preparation to play against him.

It will still be Shanahans fault in the mind of many.

All that is wrong in Redskins land was because of Mike. If it all goes right its because Robert is a GOD!!!

Just remember that and all will go well as a redskins fan. :L

Sounds like the skins should just pack it in and give up. Griffin should retire and they should bring back Rex and Beck, hell maybe Weurfel still has something in the tank? I mean what can we expect from these guys 11 days into training camp and a future HOF QB is ripping the D up in practice and 7on 7 drills and our QB has the audacity to scramble out if the pocket when pressured, that asshole! Sounds like they'll be lucky to get a W this year.

I'm not buying the doom and gloom here brothers! HTTR

right now my concern would be injuries . garcon and djax are lame and they havent had much time with Rg3

bowen and hatcher are both on the PUP and now clark is lame to go with thomas . so far in his young career thomas is more known for being hurt

now thankfully most of the injuries arent a big deal save bowen's .

the young guys will get a chance to step up

rambo , grant , davis at safety
