Well, I have to admit I'm glad this honeymoon period is ending. Time to see who is cutting it and who isn't. I hope there were some bright spots.

Patience. I warned about this earlier. Even if say the Redskins struggle early in the real season fans should still not jump the gun & assume that the team is doomed for the entire season & beyond.

You are talking about a new coaching staff, new players, a lot of younger players & units that are going through a transition. Of course Brady & the Pats are going to have a big advantage at this time. Cmon - we are talking about a scrimmage or in the words of Iverson - practice. We all need at least 2-3 more months before we can arrive at a true evaluation of this team.

Facing a QB who has been in the same system for the past ten years, in a situation where that QB not only knows he wont be hit, but that he CANT be hit... Brady was supposed to slice our defense in these practices. The whole point was to get a look against another team. So lets see what they look like say after week 4 of the season.

The best defense against Brady is pressure and he is not going to get that the next couple of days because he doesn't have to worry about being hit. Kind of like 7 on 7 for him.

IF nothing else, I expect to see Haslett cut loose the pas rush Thursday night. Maybe nothing exotic, but I dont expect to see Rak and Kerrigan dropping back into pass coverage or committing to contain on 1st and 2nd down.

Let's not forget that the Redskins went 4-0 last preseason (more wins than in the regular season - sad). Just shows that preseason means absolutely nothing.

thanks for posting that link I said they had a good scrimmage but people wanna say that the patriots picked our defense apart is absolutely not true!!!!

First off, we're talking about practice. I counted at least four times when Orakpo or Kerrigan reached Tom Brady and had to just run around him. Tom Brady - being the insufferable douche that he is - continued to stand in the pocket and throw his passes, long after a sack would have taken place and sometimes even after his own coaches were blowing the sack whistle.

Good points & I am amazed that anyone would be concerned at this point. Go check out the article from Jason Reid on the WP on this scrimmage (negative as usual). The comments from many of the WP posters border on the insane. Laughable.

look if the patriots taught us some good lessens then i am all for it . its a good thing not a bad thing
