i would question whether hatcher will be very productive this season especially early

4-6 weeks puts him into august

he would be off for most of it but it will effect conditioning

Don't understand why you all are making a big deal out of this it's just a minor procedure rather have him get it fix now then have it bother him this season I doubt it even takes the 6 weeks to fully recover.

i am not making a big deal out of anything . what i am saying is ay first we were told "nothing to worry about " and now we have surgery and 4-6 weeks he is out

knees are tricky . what caused the "clean-up " to be needed ? no one knows

at 32 could this be the beginning of the end for hatcher ? we dont know

i think he will be fine but i wouldnt just assume it will

everyone was pissed about his age and now he's having a knee surgery. we have a right to be upset.
not a good start for hatcher.

in hindsight, if he is an injury issue, signing no one would have been better. But I don't expect this to be a lingering issue. And given where Bowen is and Carriker gone, it was a good signing. Anyone that has ever had their knee cleaned out orthoscopically knows he will be back in 4-6 weeks.

In hind sight you can say alot of things were a mistake. But in reality he wasnt injured when we signed him. Should we have not drafted Thomas since he got injured and missed an entire season?

That was my point. He has never had injury issues so there was no reason to expect this. And this is minor. A 10 year vet might miss a 1week of field work at training camp. Not a huge deal.
