James is such a clown.
He posts that ridiculous letter stating his lifetime goal now is winning a championship in Ohio..

Then commits to a fucking 2 year deal with an opt out after 1.
Just from sources.....honestly from a business perspective and given when the new CBA runs out, it may be a good move. He may be able to get much, much more and could give his team flexibility.

The 2 year deal is because of the new TV deal in 2016. Not sure what the opt out is about.

I'm clearly biased, but I think the drop-off without LeBron might be more than what is generally expected.

There was a lot of talk of the Cavs showing LeBron how good of a roster he left back in 2010... Didn't go so well.

Obviously the Heat will do better than that. They are a much more competent organization and they've got two perennial all stars. I'm just predicting a bit more evidence of what LeBron brought to that team.

Don't get me wrong, though, I hope they do well.

I'm not so sure the decline will be as precipitous as some want to believe/hope. Sometimes a great player can be dominant to the point that it inhibits his own teammates.

Remember how the Nuggets improved when 'Melo went to NY and the shackles came off of their players? I know some of that was what they got back in the trade, but suddenly the ball was moving and more players were involved.

I'm also not saying that the Heat will be better without Lebron. You don't lose the best player on the planet and get better. I'm just saying that things may not be as bad as many think.

The 3 players most dramatically effected by Lebron's presence were Bosh, D-Wade and Chalmers. Bosh likely becomes the #1 option, like he was in Toronto and he's a better player having added the 3 to his repertoire. No reason not to expect him to return to the 22+ 10+ player that he was in Toronto.

Without Lebron to cover for him, D-Wade will likely not be sitting out as many games. I think he will play in more games, but fewer minutes per game (similar to what Pop does with Duncan/Parker/Ginobili). This should actually help D-Wade in the playoffs as he won't see a sudden spike in consecutive games played.

Chalmers never has been and never will be a top flight NBA point guard. However, he has been the Heat's version of Derek Fisher during the Lakers title runs. A solid PG with a knack for hitting big shots. Plus, he's a better defender than D-Fish. As someone else pointed out, this is the first time that he will actually get to play the position, since Lebron won't be there to handle most of the PG responsibilities. No reason to think he's not up to the task. I wouldn't count him out because of 1 bad playoffs performance.

Yes way.

I know in 2 years the salary cap might jump with the new CBA, but so what?
Nobody else signing a max seems concerned about that now.

" every intention" of extending. Fuck him. He will if he likes the situation.
Otherwise he'll be on then Whoever Thefucklooksbetters.

Pau just tweeted that he's going to the Bulls. Nothing yet on terms.

MARK my words. If the Cavs are eliminated before the conference finals, James will opt out and actually consider other teams.

The Decision 3.0 coming soon

True...But it looks bad...at a time when he's talking just the opposite.

Give me any reason for the need for the opt out after one?

So, let me get this straight...

LeBron James and Kevin Durant will both be unrestricted free agents in 2016?

Here we go again....
