Melo's not going to Miami, not without Lebron. I now hope he goes to Chicago as they would prevent Cleveland from going to the Finals. Yep, I'm a little bitter right now.

Well, at least Heat fans and Lakers fans no longer have anything to argue about. We're now in the same boat.

He knew days ago. thats how this essay was completed. Im sure Sheridans source was SI. Which means Lebron delibertately dragged this out and fucked over miami in the process.

Sheridan broke the news late Wed night... Even if that's the timetable when it was done... those 36 hours had very little effect on Riley's ability to move forward, IMO.

In the essay, LeBron said he wanted to explain his decision without interuption. I think he deserved that at the expense of just 36 hours.

Why? Why is a ring in Cleveland more than 5 rings in LA? Cleveland better win the title. Look at their draft lottery success in the last 4 years - 3 #1's and and #4 pick (or something similar). If any other competent franchise had that, they'd have a dynasty forming without Lebron.

Sorry, but I defended Lebron to no end against Lebron haters as well as Lakers fans. But I always stood by Kobe had the better career if we're to go by rings. Sorry, but you can't go team hopping repeatedly into better situations where guys like Duncan and Kobe stayed in one place. I understand that Lebron left Cleveland because it was poorly managed, but what's the excuse if/when he leaves Miami?

Exactly. If Lebron wins a title in Cleveland it will be a HUGE story for a few months. However, when it comes to how he's viewed historically, it will come down to how many rings he has, not the cities that he won them in. Winning one ring in Cleveland, ultimately doesn't equate to 2 in Miami, 5 in Los Angeles or San Antonio or 6 in Chicago.

Part of me thinks Melo will stay in NY knowing that the Heat team is broken up.

He probably feels pretty good about their chances at going deep in the playoffs with an Eastern conference that now has 0 great teams (IMO).

Well, LeBron just became the team's best player, Head Coach and GM. There is no way Gilbert can tell LeBron a damn thing at this point.

LeBron is a huge fish in the small pond of Cleveland and he's going to be worshipped as a 'King'. He's in total control in Cleveland.

He's happy. The extra fat will keep him warm. It's brutal to be that big in the south.

Is that who the big fat dude is on ESPN lately?

I was wondering where that dude came from suddenly.

Hahaha no way. Lakers can offer way more & Bosh already said if LBJ leaves he's going 2 Houston. Wade is all on his lonesome in Miami, as he was 4 years ago.

Its fun watching the bitterness of Heat fans. I'd say I was rooting for LeBron now, if he weren't moving into the Bucks division.

If the Pacers re-sign Lance Stephenson, they now have a legitimate chance as well.
