Probably been mentioned today but I didn't read every post made today...

The buzz on Twitter from a few reporters is Melo is back to considering Chicago. So apparently over the last 3 days its gone from LA/Chi/NY to LA/NY to NY and now its back to all three or maybe just NY/Chi.

Please.... Lebron will likely appear at the concert and announce the great Adam Silver has allowed the Brooklyn Nets to amnesty their entire roster so he can play not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5 positions on the court at the same time while contending for the 6th man of the year award. It will go down as the best Jay-Z concert ever and the biggest move in NBA history.

:laugh3: That would be interesting to see, but I don't see how he could make it through a game like that without fouling out.

Melo should go to Chicago. I think if Lebron goes to Cleveland then he goes to Chicago. Otherwise he stay in NY.

Staying in NY is a bad choice at this stage of his career

Locals reporting that James is hosting a party tonight in South Beach.

Guess which hotel?

Yep, The Clevelander.

If true, he's just fucking with everybody, and enjoying every second of it.

I'm not understanding why it makes a difference where Melo goes. If Bron goes to Clevleand why does he go to Chicago, and if Bron goes to Miami why NY?

It should just be Chicago no matter what, it is hos best chance and they will most likely be favs in the East. Seems like an easy decision, much easier than Lebrons.

It seems like everyone is fucking with it. Cavs putting La Familia on Twitter, Miller shooting w/ his jersey in background. Maybe all the players have UFAM's (Underground Free Agency Meetings).

Their motto is, "Lets fuck with them!"

Yeah, I fail to see the connection too. It's very unlikely both can team up anywhere so one's decision shouldn't be tied to the other. The only scenario I see is if Lebron goes to Cle, maybe Melo thinks he can take his spot in Miami with Bosh and Wade. But Bosh has basically said he's Houston bound.

I suppose both are just waffling tough choices and its merely coincidence its happening at the same time

I wonder if LeBron goes back to 23 if he comes back to Cleveland. Or would he wear a new number?

Why?
If James picks Cavs he's not looking for best chance to win next year.

Four years ago he said it was always about best chance to win now.

It seems like ( if he leaves) that is would have become all about trying to win a championship in Cleveland in a lame attempt to change the perception of his legacy.

What he's forgetting, is that if he wins in Cleveland, nobody outside of a Cleveland fans will care, so how does that change his place in history?

People seem to like to look at numbers. Even though that 2-3 Finals record isn't his fault, it appears he's trying to run from it, and try to have people judge him by a different standard.

My kid said he just saw a tweet where there's been a HUGE odds swing in Vegas in favor of him going to a Cavs.

I have to disagree strongly with the bold. If he wins in Cleveland, it will change his place in history greatly. And you know the media will turn it into a spectacle.

Why?
If all he can do is try to create a recruited, traveling all star team, he should be expected to win....not be elevated to some plateau like he accomplished something out of the ordinary.

As a Heat fan, I really didn't care about his legacy or reasons the the Heat won, it was just fun and entertaining.

People hated him for stacking the deck here, but they're suddenly going to praise him for winning if it's the same type of situation there?

That was then and this now. Then it was all about winning a championship. Now it's all about cementing his legacy as a player. Is he the guy that turned his back on his hometown to win championships or the guy that returned to win just one?

It seems like ( if he leaves) that is would have become all about trying to win a championship in Cleveland in a lame attempt to change the perception of his legacy.

That's exactly what it would be about. One Title in Cleveland would be worth 6 in Miami when it comes to his place in history, and how people will remember him. Another 5 years in Miami trying to win 4 or another 5 years in Cleveland trying to win 1?
