Exactly what I said so many questions :laugh3:

Nobody would sign until they know if LeBron is coming bwck or not. It's common sense. Miami would fill out the roster rather easily if LeBron came back. They had talks with several free agents who would have signed if LeBron came back. LeBron knew that miami would have all this cap space in 2014 for several years now. You're talking like this came out of the blue. I'm pretty sure Sheridan isn't lying. LeBron will look like more of a dick if he goes back because it's going to come across as he waisted Miami's time as this was a done deal since he opted out.

Alright now that's fucked up.... Take lebron back but leave my boy wade...

:laugh3:

Can that even happen? Does he have Bird rights?

I say there is a .0000001% chance that would happen. :laugh3:

They always have Haywood, whose conract also ends after this year and they were saying could clear cap too.

An expiring deal will do them little good. If they get Love and LeBron, after this year they will have two full max deals and a mini-max for Kyrie. They still will not have the space to sign another impact player when that $ clears the books. The question is who would the Cavs rather build around, TT or Varajao?

While AV is a nice player, he is getting older and cannot be relied upon to play a full season.

Would he though?

That remains to be seen. Gilbert was one of the biggest proponents of the current system, specifically designed to prohibit this type of thing. Will he really go deep into the luxury tax when the time comes? I am not so sure.

It wouldn't even be that far over the cap, though, when I think about it.

Love's max salary would bump from $15 to $20 or so. . that's only 5 million over.

If Varejao is on the books... his $10 mill comes off... maybe he resigns for his current market value which would be quite less. I mean, who knows what the roster would like by next season... but its not like they'd be going WAY over the cap. Love's $15 mill would still exist in a cap hold so they couldn't go too far over.

I don't see it as an issue.

I don't think there's going to be a deal at all.

Minny has no real motivation to sell on pennies on the dollar. They'd want significantly more than what I've heard bandied about on these boards. There's no guarantee they can make a trade for Love.

There's a better chance they go into the season with the same roster they have right now. Minny may move Love before the trade deadline, but they will undoubtedly have better offers.

No way they trade him. Love
Isn't returning.he will lose a year on his contract and they will get nothing if he leaves

If they even lower the Big 3's contracts they can only basically sign their own players (Ray, Birdman, etc) bc they can go over the cap. They won't have anything left.

I agree. Sheridan is killing his career in the matter of days. The only reason why I think Lebron goes to Cleveland is because he thinks Wade's best days are behind him. Which is certainly a legitimate discussion. So why would he take Wade to the Cavs with him?

It would be 22 for LeBron, 20 for Love and 15 for Kyrie. Add in whatever TT makes + mid level exceptions, etc. This could get up there pretty quick..

Gilbert would be even more of a hypocrite than he already is if he went down this path.

As far as all of this "LeBron should have told Miami or Cleveland or whoever a long time ago what he was doing" stuff... I agree IF LeBron actually knew what he was going to do a long time ago. If he knew... than he gains little by withholding his answer and makes things harder on whatever teams he spurns.

But I have to believe that LeBron is sincere in his indecision. Its a huge decision that effects not only him but many people around him that he cares about. He doesn't owe a hasty decision to anyone. He deserves as much time as he feels like he needs to make a decision, regardless of what impact that has on others.

If those other teams were in a position where they were the ones with the leverage and they felt like they needed time to make the right decision... they wouldn't hesitate to take it regardless of the impact it had on any players.

Not sure if everyone realizes... just to be clear... that Sheridan tweet on Wade going with LeBron to Cleveland was from a fake Sheridan profile.

Come on guys, you think his real handle is sheridanpoops?

I'm sorry but no legitimate writer/reporter wouldn't say the things Sheridan are saying without getting confirmation from someone from James circle that he's going back. One of james close friends or his agent told Sheridan this. Sheridan isn't a bad reporter so pretty sure he isn't making this up

They could trade him after that July moratorium and get that about $5 mil back more than his non-guaranteed 15-16 salary, and the team that gives up a player in the trade could waive Haywood and get some equal to his salary which is $10.5 mil.

So it is a big deal.
