Golden Tate is one of those guys that will be on a deep bench, or constantly going from waivers to team to waivers in a shallower league. In any given week he had the potential to be a strong play, but he can also be a complete dude. He's purely an injury/bye week fill in with little to no trade value. The coaching changes on the offensive side of the ball aren't going to help either as Caldwell will likely look for a bit more balance in an attempt to get some consistency out of the offense. Which should lead to a few fewer pass attempts.
Probably still more than what Tate saw in Seattle, so he might be a bit better than last year, but he's not going to be dependable.

u hate all seahawks, im strictly talking about as a player........

As a player I would take a flyer on him in fantasy football, if I needed one during a bye-week. I think he's a slightly above average player that has flashes of brilliance. Very few flashes, though.

In an NFL setting I would not sign him if I am the owner. His attitude and stupidity overshadow any talent he possesses.

Not a big fan of Tate myself, but let me throw a couple of stats out there...

1) Stafford threw for almost 4650 yards in 2013, and new head coach Caldwell LOVES to throw.
2) of those 4650 from Stafford, Megatron was on the receiving end of only about 1500. Which leaves another 3100 for the rest of the team. A team that really didn't have a true WR2.

Give 1100 of that to Bush and Bell.........personally I think he ends up with around 1K and MAYBE 5-6 TD's................

Which would be strong WR3, even WR2 numbers. But even though Caldwell may very well love to throw.. he's not going to be throwing as often as the Lions did last year, because I think he likes to win more.

I don't think Tate will be any better than Nate burleson was on the lions.

Tate's numbers last year in a dome

3 games - 16 catches 260 yards 4 tds

- Stafford loves to throw jump balls, Tate is one of the best pound for pound at going up and getting the ball
- Tate is spectacular in open space. The Lions pass heavy offense will be able to get him the ball a lot more than Seattle could have
- Tate was inconsistent as a #1, because he couldn't always beat the opposing team's #1 corner. But on Detroit he will likely never see a #1 corner with Megatron on the other side

I say Tate will get you 1100 yds and 7-8 tds next year. That's real solid for a WR2 or WR3 on your fantasy lineup. However, as an owner you will be very frustrated with him, because with his 1100 yds he'll likely give you a 150 yd game then a couple 14 yd or 27 yd games.

Golden tate or any seahawks player on offense other than lynch or wilson will be any good in fantasy football believe me. I wouldnt draft him high if he is the #2 reciever on the team than i would aim to grab him in the lower rounds

I picked up Percy Harvin off waivers last year when it was announced he was coming back hoping to get a late seem gem. That turned out to be a complete bust as he didn't make it back in time. I had one Seattle WR last year, can't remember who it was, think it was either Tate or Baldwin. Too up and down. One week one have good numbers, the next two weeks hardly anything.

Yeah that is how I look at it. He's going have some very good games and then hardly nothing. Most likely better #2 receivers out there, but you could do worse.
