Take you to task? Typical of me?
Does being a mod make you feel like your opinion can't be challenged?

I was the only person here, Heat fan or not to mention Durant.
The Ok City person was the one who took it to a 'hate' level thing vs talent/leadership.
Were you talking to him?

If your post wasn't directed to me for bringing up Durant, I'd sure be interested to know which Heat fan(s) you were directing it to.

As far as me, I never mentioned Durant during the regular season as far as having an off night.
It happens to everyone.

The games that matter are NOW.

I feel you are just mix and matches thoughts, when none of them really apply here...or at least to me.

And now, because turnip got called out for thinking it's all about him, he resorts to his typical "you're a mod and I'm not allowed to disagree with you" bullshit.

It shouldn't be all that difficult for you to figure out that when a post says "Heat fans", it is plural and means "more than one Heat fan". Yet somehow, for you, it always comes back to you.

Here's a clue for you turnip. If I'm referring to you and you only, you will know it because I will either quote you directly (as I did in the post) or I will mention you by name.

Until then, quit being such a butthurt little girl.

FACT is, no other person but me mentioned Durant...and that was the post you were replying to.
Or was it just a general statement to Heat fans who just might have been thinking the same thing and you are now psychic?

Anyway...I'll stop before the posts start getting deleted for disagreeing with you.

FACT: The post said Heat FANS. FANS is plural. That means more than one.

FACT: I did not mention you directly and I did not quote you.

FACT: Several Heat fans, on these very boards, have whined at different points throughout the season when Durant and/or CP3 have had an off game or missed a clutch shot, that Lebron would be getting killed for it and those 2 weren't.

Those are all facts and you trying to make everything about you doesn't change any of them.

Now run along, you're boring me.

Btw, the last time you had posts deleted, it had nothing to do with you disagreeing with me, it had to do with you getting into another bitch session with CL, being asked to take it to the Heat Haters thread and wanting to argue about it. Hell, another mod showed up on the board and told you to stfu.

Clayton already said this but MEM is better this year than they were last year.

Also who do you think is better? MEM or DAL (who took SA to 7)? SA would not have made it out of the 1st round if they faced MEM this year.

There's no statistical proof that Memphis is a better team this year then last. Hell, they barely even made the playoffs this year.

I still remember the WCF last year and the Spurs handled them. This current version of the Spurs looks a bit more impressive this year and they're all healthy. Please tell me how Memphis would've beaten the Spurs in round 1, because I'm all ears.

Marc Gasol missed 21 more games this year than last and they won just 6 less games.

This is pretty simple, you either think DAL and MEM are the same team or MEM is better than DAL who struggled with the injury bug all year?

And this current SA team "looks a bit more impressive this year" because you forget they went 7 with DAL and are facing 60% of an OKC team.

A healthy OKC is far better than SA and went 7 games with MEM while healthy MEM is far better than DAL who went 7 games with SA.

Applying Gasol's win rate this year to the extra 21 games of last year they would have won 14 more games, or 8 better than last year.

Spurs weren't even close to healthy until after ASB and TP and other sat down for extended periods of time.. They only managed to still secure the best record this season..

am I doing this right?

Their minute limitations were mostly based on age, not injuries.

Just a little more on this..

KL, TP, TS, MG, DG all missed from ~14-23 each games due to injury. Many of this being b2b2b2b2b games. Then had minutes limited, and still pulled out the best record. The old fella TD played more game min. wise this season than anyone else on his team. :yahoo:

OKC and Mem for comparison

Please see that Sefolosha and Westbrook missed a combined 57 games and Gasol missed 23.

Pop monitored minutes all year and nobody played 30 mpg. That is not due to injury that nobody played heavy minutes but rather keeping his players fresh.

Also Manu and Green are coming off the bench. Manu, Green =/= Sefolosha, Westbrook or Gasol as far as importance, especially in a system where every body plays and nobody plays big minutes.

Ok.. the OKC comparison was just put there since that's who the spurs are currently playing.. you weren't questioning them and how they would have beat the spurs in the first round, at this point they have their hands full with the spurs in the conf. finals.

The spurs had 30 different starting lineups this year, 18 of which DG was a part (and is generally still part of) and 2 for Manu. Splitter missed 24 games, but of course he must not be of importance since the spurs were still able to manage without him. TP was out for 3 weeks and the spurs still managed without him, so scratch TP as important. KL was out 16 games and the spurs actually struggled a little... phew least we found a important player for the spurs that was missing... I was beginning to think they were all programed robots and it didnt matter who was out for games.

Pop managed minutes because he knows when healthy body counts, and was still able to pull the overall number 1 seed. I mean Durrant played a total of 79% of the possible minutes over the 82 games... That's a lot of playing time, guess at least he got an MVP out of it.

Fact is we will never know how the spurs would have done against Mem in the playoffs this year, but in my bias opionion of course... Dal was their tougher match up based on player match-ups and playoff experience. I don't think Mem would have beat the spurs nor made it past 5 games. In hindsight the Dal matchup was the best thing for the spurs to face in round 1, they got more out of it than the first round win.

So outside of saying the if Gasol played X more games you haven't presented how Mem would have handled the spurs? I would also say Aldridge & Dirk > Gasol so you can connect the dots on that one.

Maybe OKC wins one at home, but I have faith that the Spurs will take this in 5 as long as they don't let up on OKC and keep playing at the level they are playing at now which is a pretty high level.

I'm still surprised that plantar fasciitis would keep him out of so many games. I used to get it frequently when I fenced. Stretching my calf always lessened the pain and the symptoms.
