We won't have to wait long in this series to see how it is going to go. If San Antonio gets to the rim with ease because Ibaka is out then it could be a short series. The Thunder still have enough pure talent to win this but Brooks is going to have to do better than he has been in my opinion.

The Spurs were a complete injured mess for about the first 40-45 games of the season*
*They set a franchise record for the most injury man games missed (in only 42 games no less).

Here is how a healthy San Antonio did versus 50+ wins since February 1st:
Beat the Clippers by 10
Beat the Blazers by 2
Beat Miami by 28
Beat Portland by 13
Beat GSW by 9
Beat the Pacers by 26
Beat GSW by 21
Beat Memphis by 20
Beat Portland by 24
Beat Portland by 17
Beat Portland by 15
Beat Portland by 22
They lost a completely meaningless at Houston.
They lost at OKC.
They lost at Portland in game 3.

So at worst, they went 12-3 in their last 15 games versus 50 win teams.

It is 12-2 if you don't count Houston.
Or maybe its only 11-3 if you don't think Miami is any good.

November and December results are far more important than anything from February to May!!!

My True contender list if health is not an issue (always has and was): MIA, OKC, IND, SA in that order.

IND fell apart 2nd half of the season but are where we thought they should be. OKC is now injured again.

Teams I consider the "top teams", only MEM did I not discuss preseason in this list.

LAC, MIA, IND early season, MEM w/Gasol, HOU w/ Harden reg season reffing, and Healthy OKC.

So as you can see, SA's 7 game series against an 8 seed or stomping an inexperienced overrated POR team do not impress me. If Harden is called the same in the playoffs as he was in the regular season we might be talking about an OKC/HOU WCF.

We won't have to wait long in this series to see how it is going to go. If San Antonio gets to the rim with ease because Ibaka is out then it could be a short series. The Thunder still have enough pure talent to win this but Brooks is going to have to do better than he has been in my opinion.

Think adjustments, obviously Pop is going to be better there but he has no adjustments to make. If they can keep this with in a game they could make it go 7 if they can figure out how to hide the Ibaka hole. That being said I think they go down 3-1 and lose in 6. I am rooting for OKC all day though.

The Spurs only old players are Tim Duncan (38) and Manu Ginobli (36). Tim Duncan still out performs 95% of the league and Manu does fine off the bench.

Tony Parker is not a spring chicken anymore. You will see that when he's chasing Russell Westbrooks tail all night.

...with a recurring Hamstring injury. WRs in the NFL with hamstring issues are taken out to pasture, I can't imagine PGs have it any better.

That being said, the Westbrook Parker matchup is much less important than the Ibaka vs whoever is in the paint matchup.

It's a destiny year.

KD got his MVP.

The team will get their trophy....barring injury to another key player.

It's gonna suck without Serge, there's no doubting that. I'm confident that our remaining bigs will be able to hang on and do just enough to forge a series win. Perk, Adams, Collison, and Thabeet will tread water alongside a smaller line-up.

Stated Thunder in 5 before Serge's injury.....Thunder in 6.

How many MVPs did LBJ/MJ have before winning a ring? Kobe won his rings long before his MVP, oh that's right, Nash got 2 MVPs to go with his...haircut.

Well, the beginning of this game looks familiar to Thunder fans: The opponent comes out like gang-busters, and the Thunder looks like they were shot out of a broken cannon.

This could get ugly without Durant and Westbrook on the court.
