Here's the thing, Martinez, we may not be able to afford to resign both Rak and Kerrigan. During this same timeframe, we have to resign Trent, RG3 and Alfred.
maybe, but i think its possible to get them all.

Maybe we should have tried to draft him in the 4th like Jared then...I'm not hating on the kid, I'm just in the same boat as others thinking we could have grabbed him later. I guess time will tell how he pans out...

ok enough negative nancy from me

he is tall , can cover and has the skill set to play the position we drafted him for

he is another kerrigan /jared allen type guy

he has great character and is smart

we have 2 3rds to get other guys and make up for this reach which would cancel it out

we picked defense which we need

ok skinsdad is back to half full mode

Seriously...so many suck RG3s dick on here but a guy that performed on the collegiate level gets hammered for being drafted where he was supposed to. Got to love it when people would rather take players who performed less in college.

Well I know diddly regarding the strategy of drafts, but isn't it likely that the skins really liked this guy but not at 34 and so traded down to the best spot they could get him without reaching too much?

right after we drafted him mel or todd said 4th round

Mel and todd thought Jimmy Clausen was a first rounder. So lets not make it like they own the crystal ball. Mel and Todd also slammed the Skins for trading away from Gabbert to take Kerrigan (disclaimer: So did I) But I like this pick and i think this kid will produce for us sooner rather than later.

Our front office if full of a bunch of a bunch of pretentious Dbags who think they are smarter then everybody. That's why they pick players with 4th round grades in the mid second round. How is a 250 pound guy that runs a 4.9 a big deal as a pass rusher. Most OT will shut him down. Lets face it this guy will be a special teams captain and a good guy but does not have the talent to be on the field. 3rd down specialist my ass. he is too slow to cover and will probably get manhandled by good offensive linemen. 2nd round is to take a chance on great talent. Maybe in the third if were lucky they will pick us someone for the practice squad! What an Fing joke!

BS flippin pick! Murphy could have been had with the latter pick. We could have used Nix or Moses. Our scouting department has been inconsistent for many years now. Plus, this kid gets to sit while we could have used a starter here...

The pick sux but SF can get Carlos Hyde along with Gore on the same team with their pick. It's almost laughable how they get 2 players (Ward & Hyde) who can play and will contribute right away but we get shit!!! Pathetic!!!

Thats the problem... every one wanted a starter. Thats actually when you reach.. .trying to find a starter no matter what. This pick shows patience and an eye towards not only 2014, but the future as well. You press for a starter, you pick Morris Claiborne.
