Todd McShay likes Chris Borland for Washington Redskins - ESPN

Borland at 34. Wow. I thinkn that would be a shocker.

ESPN's Todd McShay said he's gotten mixed reviews from teams on the health of Alabama OT Cyrus Kouandjio's surgically-repaired knee.
McShay spoke to 10 teams about Kouandjio's knee and six told him they passed him while four said they either failed him or dropped his draft grade significantly. Kouandjio was diagnosed with an arthritic knee condition at the Combine, but teams are divided on his medicals. While he's not expected to go off the board until Day 2, Kouandjio recently rated as the consensus No. 5 tackle in a poll of 18 NFL scouts. McShay considers Kouandjio an early second-round pick based on game tape.

I don't get how some teams pass him or fail him on health. Shouldn't just be one verdict??

I know this is going to sound slightly sexist. But think of it like when you were young and you and your boys were at the beach. What you graded as a 7 your boy saw as a four. Same principle different situation. Some teams will see the knee as a huge red flag. Others will see it as a minor thing.

I cant get over it either. Weren't there reports that he had shoulder injuries? Shouldn't that bring his stock down. I thought 3rd round was a target for this guy

there was talk about Borland needing a 3rd shoulder procedure or surgery. I posted it in another thread. seems questionable to me.

I'd take Borland at 34 over Botonio. I'd pass on both though. Neither will be close to BPA at 34 for me.

I like Borland's game, but I don't like him at #34. Plus, after the Malcolm Kelly fiasco, I don't want anyone with pre-draft medical history. I say.......pass!

i am thinking about it . he is a 10 yr anchor right at our most needed position (arguably ) stieger is a band aid

however i see a trade down coming

I think a reach on QBs and WRs are going to help us. Tuitt, Benjamen, Roby, and Nix are just a few guys that have recent character/injury issues.

I agree. I just don't want us to trade back too far. We need as much talent as possible. I also want the price to be steep. I want the 2nd and 3rd rounder in all honesty. If we can trade back and pick up a 3rd and also trade Cousins for a 3rd, we will have 4 picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Plenty of picks to address the OL, Secondary and DL.
