Projected 2014 QB top 10 ranking - You decide

While we have that rolling poll going on a slot by slot basis it would interesting to compare it to a more linear method of grabbing more or less the same data from everyone at once.

In this case we are only interested in your list of how you expect the top 10 QB's to be ranked after the end of next season. Factor in whatever criteria you want such as schedule, players around them, age, etc.

Please leave your responses in the form of:

QB 1
QB 2
.
.
QB 9
QB 10

Only entries with exactly 10 choices will be considered and obviously trolled ballots will be ignored.

Simple format, each will get a score in reverse of their order. Your #1 QB will get 10 points and your #10 will get 1 point. We will add up the total scores and rank them accordingly. I'm sure we will end up with more than 10 QB's with a score of some kind.

Let's see how different this list will end up compared to the slot by slot poll.

Yes, this list will ignore any draft picks that might end up making the top 10 next year and no one can forecast who will be more impacted by injuries over the season. It's just for fun folks.

No, Russell Wilson will retire for baseball this offseason and will battle Jerry Ricecake for the number one pick in a draft as Roger Wilson.

Good thread, I would have done this after the slot by slot voting had been finished but I suppose people shouldn't be affected. Plus, it would've been a while before top 10 was done. That would probably be too long to wait. I will make my list a little later.

One major part of the slot by slot voting was that it was just for this next year (or in your case the next next year) and not considering contracts. For example, Peyton Manning is going to retire pretty soon. But you really select him over another quarterback if you were GM? Age matters if you think that Manning cannot perform as well, but age shouldn't matter as far as how long you can keep them versus another. Then it is not really a ranking, in my opinion.

To be clear the time frame for both lists is the same. You are asking for how you rank each QB next season and that kind of means how they will be ranked at the end of that season doesn't it?

I'm not trying to steal your thunder either. Figured you were already having your hands full running each individual thread and maybe someone else can do the math on raw lists.

I could have gone with 15 instead of 10 just to help normalize some of the more volatile QB's, but in the end 10 was easier to track. There will be quite a few QB's that are missing from lists by the end.

There is simply no way to get a truly non-biased list on a site like this. We all have our preconceived notions. It will be reflected in every list.

My only hope is people aren't going to overbid up their favorites to try to make up for perceived slights by others lists. Just give as honest of an assessment as you can.

I'll put my list up by tomorrow. Figured I'd lay low for a day to keep this about the process and not the OP's individual picks.

As for big ben, isn't he a fairly unpopular QB? Like Cutler kind of unpopular? I'm sure that influences many.

OH CRAP, completely forgot about Ben. ARGH, I KNEW I was missing someone.

I think Ben's line will finally be healthy and just based on his surrounding team, it's a toss up at #6 for Wilson or him, and bump everyone else down one.

meh, I'll be compiling the data about once a day or so. You can make a new one if you like. As long as it's on the same day I probably wouldn't have already done anything with the first one.

I was surprised with the love that Big Ben got with the polls I've been posting. But I figure there's a lot of Steeler fans and a lot of people who refuse to vote for their rival quarterback and so will vote for whoever is second.

This was one reason why I didn't do it this way. Maybe I'm just paranoid. Plus it would've been hard to ask for people to do a list of 32 quarterbacks. I was worried about participation. I thought a poll would be the easiest and therefore get the most participation.

I could have gone deeper, but 32 isn't realistic IMO as some teams won't know their opening day QB until fall. I'm probably one of the ones you were concerned with as once you get past around 12-15 we will be in the range of garbage QB's that I wouldn't have much opinion about either way.
