If we are going to have to use both JPA and Chirinos in the next two games because of a day game after a night game I think I would prefer Chirinos catch Perez on Wednesday because of his last result with Chirinos.

Choo is likely to be out the remainder of this series. Is didn't say if he was headed to the DL

We wouldn't want everyone to be healthy all at once for at least 1 game now would we. Just hope it is nothing serious.

I believe Chirinos has caught every Perez start - "he's his boy" as Perez put it.

So I expect JPA to catch tonight.

Left fielder Shin-Soo Choo left Monday's game with a sprained ankle after trying to beat out an infield single in the top of the seventh inning. According to Choo, X-rays were negative, but he'll have an MRI as early as Tuesday and will likely miss at least one game and possibly more.

Didn't seem too serious and still doesn't, was due for a day off anyway and better to be cautious with it than to push it early on

On the play where Choo was hurt. I kinda agree with the TV broadcast guys. No matter the original call, I didn't see evidence to over turn whatever the call. I had a problem with safe turns to out on that bang bang play. MLB is way over thinking this replay stuff outta NYC.

Yeah basically what I said, not enough to overturn

But I think the NYC people are trying to make the "correct call" whether evidence exists or not

Had it been done correctly then it should have been safe due to lack of visual conclusive evidence, was he actually out? perhaps maybe, and since it took them 3 minutes to decide, it obviously wasn't conclusive

I didn't see it but when I heard it took over 3 minutes then I agree with you all on it should be inconclusive.

I think one of the main issues is we as fans are not seeing the same frame by frame footage they are looking at in New York. The production crews are slowing down the play for us but they are not attempting to freeze it on the most relevant moment. NFL has gotten really good at doing this... hopefully MLB will realize this and do better in the future. But I guess it will take some time because the way the NFL broadcasts work and MLB broadcasts work is pretty different. From what I understand, each MLB team has it own production team and they don't always have the same equipment or methods nor do they follow the same standards. Hopefully they can at least develop some for replay though. Either that, or maybe New York needs to send the production team the frame on which they made their decision so it can be shared with fans.

Overall I have little problem with how the have done the replay stuff. The only problem I do have is with the new interpretation of the transfer rule. That is a horrible rule and needs to be eliminated or updated asap.

The guys in New York need to quit trying to make the right call and run replay the way it was written. You must have clear and conclusive evidence to overturn the call. Also, yes the transfer interpretation is a joke. The blocking home plate rule is a dumpster fire. Nobody knows what to do when there might be a play at the plate.
