Eric Nadel was on ESPN today around noon. I'm not sure if this is a regular gig or not since I seldom listen at that time. Anyway, he feels good about our young starter tonight. Said he has good stuff, decent command and perhaps most importantly, has his head on straight.

Maybe he'll be this years Perez.

Not to surprised about Ogando who, from what I could gather in about 5 minutes has not been great, maybe I'm wrong.

and no one should be worried about Fielder, (assuming anyone is). Some fans don't believe in adjustment phases, I do. He'll be fine.
I don't even know who the Starters are, Ha. I'll read more this week.

I read the RR on ESPN. Then looked over to the right and see that we dropped to 4th.
The only thing I kept thinking, is this team has been obliterated by injuries. So it's almost impossible to really evaluate what's going on with those players who are still standing. Add to that, we knew this division was going to be tougher. Or if you didn't think so, I'm not sure why.
I guess I wouldn't be surprised if the team collectively has one big "wtf?" going on.

I was going to look up when players are supposed to return, but I'm not going to. Just hope for the best... (as far as players returning), that's where I'm at.

at only 12 games in, some luck with fast recoveries...who knows, it's too early.
However, if we get really buried in the next 6 weeks, then we might have some reason for concern.

I'm truly stunned, I didn't HOW many guys were down.
Unbelievable.

Holland is a question mark just like Perez coming into this season was a question mark...which means he's not at all. He will be rehabbed and ready before they bring him back. To this day I don't get why people were so down on Perez even after last year...

Holland will still need to get his legs under him and he wasn't the most consistent of guys before the injury, we shall see for this season

He looked pretty damn consistent last year to me. Year before last he had several things working against him.

yeah but what 20 starts? and its not like it was a dominant 20 starts, 20 mostly solid but not spectacular starts

Perez was a question mark coming in simply b/c he hadn't done it enough and at a high enough level

Its all interpretation, if you wanted to annoint him the "real deal" after that so be it, not going to blame you, but I'm also not going to question someone who is iffy on his prospects going forward after last year and his spotty minor league career
