Most corners are small. It is what it is.

You're not going to get a top level tall guy without really paying out the ass.

Everyone worries about money......If the Patriots got Revis for $11MM a year and Talib for $9MM a year it would only take a couple of wiggles to make it happen. First dump Arrington because you'd have Dennard and Ryan behind Revis and Talib and the Pats would get $4MM back on Arrington. Restructure Vince's contract to $6MM and that save another $5.7MM. They would be able to literally pay Talib and Revis would be counting about $10MM. Once that was done, the Pats would still be about $16MM under the cap.

He'll land in Denver or Foxboro. If Belichick doesn't really want him, he'll up the ante and make Elway pay high. The biggest problem is for all of the CB who are free agents. If Revis is truly going to be released, no one is going to buy a CB until they find out if they can get in on the Revis sweepstakes. If he signs for $10MM or less, it'll kill the money everyone was hoping for.

What's really interesting is that Denver is offering Eric Decker the same contract as they gave Welker....$6MM per for 4 years. If they lose him, that's 1100 yards and 12 TDs off Manning's 'record' season. They haven't really made much effort to resign Moreno either. I'm not 100% sure I'd be looking at a CB if I was running the ship in Denver.

Few things here...1) Elway does not overpay for players. He has been a huge stickler on that point of telling players he will let the market determine their value then will decide whether to resign them or not. This is why they haven't actually signed any of their own FA so far in they will not overpay for any of them. My guess is if the Broncos sign Revis they are going to fit right in with the market of the $10-12 million a year area that most have been talking.

2) Broncos have not offered Decker a contract yet. Like I said they have told all of their FA that they will let them test FA and see what their value is at then decide whether to make an offer or not. Also we did not give Welker a 4 year contract. It was a 2 year contract that ends this year. You also have to think the Broncos are planning on at least bringing in another receiver either through FA or the draft or maybe even both to try and replace Decker. It is not like that 1100 yards and 12 TD's just completely disappears into thin air next year. Decker was the Broncos 4th option when all the players were healthy so don't think he will be that tough to replace. Most Bronco fans found Decker to be the most frustrating player on our offense as he never fought for the ball and disappeared for large chunks of games.

3) With Moreno the Broncos already have his replacement on the roster. Montee Ball was drafted with the idea that he would be starting this year. He closed out the 2nd half of the season averaging close to 6 yards a carry. Most in Denver believed he was actually the better Running Back for the 2nd half of the season. He isn't quite the all-around back that Moreno was with blocking and receiving but then again he was a rookie so he should improve in those areas.

It sounds like the browns will be making a play for Revis. A mid round pick would get the deal done.

Haden & Revis would be a ridiculous combo... No thanks

I'm glad they won't have Ward over the top anymore!

If this would happen I think we would be saying "Legion of Boom who?"

"Legion of who" would have been better.

Am I the only one that thinks Haden is a bit overrated? Dude gave up 8 TDs in 8 different games last year.

As a #1 corner yes I would agree he is overrated a bit (although he only gave up 6 touchdowns not 8) but you have to remember with Revis coming into the picture he becomes the #2 corner on the team. I think as a #2 there is maybe only 1 or 2 receivers that he might struggle with.

That's because he has to play against AB twice each season... He gets owned every time! :yahoo:

But he is definitely one of the best CB's in the AFC. Probably top 3.
