Yeah, what pissed me off in the UGA thread was every UGA fan defending crappy play and coaching calls - something we Bama fans rarely do. I simply refuse to defend incompetence, and there was no shortage of it on the field tonight.

Taking nothing away from OU, which played lights-out, but Bama made entirely too many mental errors and dumb mistakes out there, and Saban was flat outcoached.

The only thing you can critique is how your own team played compared to all year and Alabama made way too many mistakes and costly penalties. Think about it. Missed 32 yard field goal. Punt return for TD called back. Penalties at the worst times. OU continued to just make a play we couldn't. They seemed to convert every damn 3rd down conversion by a yard the entire first half. We improved in the second half but couldn't get anything going consistent offensively. It was AJ's worst performance even with all those yards They probably came on 5 total plays! He would start panicking almost at the snap when no one was even there yet. Not a good game at all! In the meantime OU spanked our ass!

I have read every one of these posts and i find that not one Bama fan has said anythig derogatory about the OU win tonight. I must say that this was one hell of a game on both sides of the ball. Conrats to OU for a great game.

That's from a Boise St fan

Bama fans have been nothing but class.

I was just shocked how many holding calls they didn't call. If that had been Big 12 refs yellow flags would have made the game 30 minutes longer.

Those celebration calls were quite BS... and the last one (squib) ... there were some bad calls and many not called.

For the second time this year in as many games no less. could he be losing his edge or second guessing himself, or is the talent really that down this year and he really did a good job getting us to 11 wins? i see he has been outcoached, but it may be due to him knowing our weaknesses and trying too hard to cover for them. We should have ran the ball with Henry more from about the second Quarter on, if we had we might very well have pulled this thing out, but he kept the guns blazing all night long.

While true, OU's oline outplayed Bama's oline and OU's QB vastly outplayed Bama's QB.

At some point, its the players that win the game

Won't deny it, but anyone who watched the game could see that Stoops' game plan (and adjustments where appropriate) was superior to that of Saban.

One thing Bear Bryant would say after a loss was, "I was outcoached." I'd like to see Saban say that.

So what you're saying is that Big Game Bob ran his mouth and backed that shit up, right?

Michigan St Defense against Florida State would be interesting.

I'm sure he will.

The difference in QB play on both sides meant far more than the coaching, though

Too bad we can't have Michigan St play the winner of the national championship game

McCarron hasn't been under a lot of pressure in the past. That made the difference.

That goes to the o-line too. The OU QB got better protection during pass plays than did A.J. And we know that the o-line has been a weakness for Bama throughout the season.

That stated, that QB for OU was on fire tonight. Don't know what it is about facing Bama that brings so much out of opposing QBs.

Mr. Tee and I had some back and forth earlier in the thread...just reminding him of our exchange.

I'll confess I didn't think Alabama could be beat. Auburn really merely edged them with lady luck. But Oklahoma was flat out impressive.

There is a lot involved but all QBs should at least have experience at coming from behind. You guys have been too good to actually give AJ real QB experience

The top two 2012 SEC teams (Alabama & Georgia) lost in their bowl games this year. I would have never even thought that possible.

BOOMER! Still just pumped and speechless about this victory! WOW, what a showing.

The only thing that got old was ESPN sucking the testicles of Bama the whole game. I know ESPN is the flagship network for the SEC but damn....
