Because they hardly ever play Georgia/Florida in the regular season.

So then, Stanford should have gotten credit for beating the #2 team in the nation last year when they beat USC? Even though USC ultimately finished 7-6 and unranked?

Sometimes a team is just overrated.
This ^^ Sometimes teams are over or underrated. Should a team really get credit for beating a "top 10" team when they were overranked to start?

Fixed it up a bit.

So should that count as beating a national title team? (Not you, but the idiot who thinks we should be using at the time rankings)

I'd watch the name calling junior! If you can't have a discussion without throwing out insults, then perhaps you should fuck off!

to quote the kids today "looks like someone's jimmy is rustled" whatever that means. So should beating Arkansas last season be seen on par as beating Alabama since in someone's opinion (which is what the polls are) they were going to be national champions?

Did Robert Morris beat the number 1 team in the country last year in the NCAAM NIT tournament because at one point (including the beginning of this season) they were ranked number 1?

So, when bama played LSU 2 weeks ago, we really played #22 LSU, not #13 which they were ranked before we beat them?!

I guess you don't understand the part of "ranking at the time they played".

they looked closer to a #22 type team when you played then they did a #13 team.

At what point do you adjust their ranking? before the game or after. If a #1 ranked team loses badly to an unranked team they obviously weren't worthy of a #1 ranking on that day being that they lost.

2006 Florida leapfrogged Michigan

2008 Florida got the nod over both Texas and Utah

Both times it was almost a coinflip that came up on the "Urban" side.

So now he wants to whine??

He looks like a crybaby now.

If we end up with the 4 undefeated teams, Ohio State will BY FAR and not even close have the worst resume.

Their wins will not be as impressive; Their SOS will be the lowest; Their quality wins will be lower.

It is what it is.

These coaches all do the same thing. When the BCS works in their favor, it's a "great system". When it doesn't, it's "flawed"!!

Correcked.

And what else can we expect of coaches? They want to play in the big'un. You have to be part Bear Bryant and part PT Barnum to coach these days, with the espin, and the twitter, and the East Coast BIIIIII-ASSSSSSSSS!

The system was not correct because of the outcomes of the games.

So all that matters is the ranking of the teams they play? Using that FSU has 1 more than tOSU this year. One is not much for bragging. And Bama has zero this year? I am speaking of current rankings.

the system was correct in not sending michigan to the title game because they were not one of the 2 best teams. ohio state probably wasn't either, but it's hard to convince the country that they weren't that great or that they didn't deserve a shot given their record. kinda like notre dame last year.

not really by far. if they win out and beat an 11-1 michigan state team, they probably will have a comparable resume to florida state and baylor. maybe not quite as good, but certainly not "by far" the worst.
