Well I traded Forte

I was able to parlay him into Moreno in a 5 player deal.

Im in a dynasty league...Forte wasnt a keeper and I have been sinking like a stone in the standings so I have been looking for a player that I wouldn't make me lose too much production this year and would help in the future.

I have been shopping McCoy too but the offers havent been too great.

3. The club option on Moreno's 2014 season triples his salary. With Ball and Hillman both on rookie deals and having another full year in the system, wouldn't shock me in the least if that option is not picked up. No guarantee Moreno is all that productive in the future.

Hopefully you got quite a bit more than Moreno in this 5 player deal.

I also got Ben Tate.

my team is 3-5 and, while I dont pay too much attention to projections, I am projected to lost by almost 30 points this week and fall to 3-6 so I am trying to keep an eye towards the future.

I think Hillman has fumbled his way out of a job and Ball cant block so he wont see the field until that gets fixed.

Well your way off on Ball not being able to block. .is just that Moreno does it better and is much more familiar with what Peyton wants. And none of that applies to next year. .another offseason of training it wouldn't be a surprise that they don't pay a RB 5-6 million. .not when they have big concerns on the defense with impending free agents, not to mention the extension that D. Thomas will demand.
Just saying. .not something I'd want to bank on.

im in the process of acquiring Ball for insurance on Moreno. Ball will be cheap since he hasnt dont anything really yet.

What are you thoughts on Tate for next year? He is in a contract year if I am correct...he could easily start for a few other teams.

I don't know for sure. While it true he probably could start for a few teams. . part off what made him an attractive option was the way the Texans run the ball. Going somewhere else doesn't necessarily mean he'd be all that great. Plus there's an increasing trend where teams just aren't paying veteran backs to do what they get from younger, cheaper options. I have no doubt Tate will finds a job, but there's no guarantee its as a starter, or for a team that will be a good landing spot from a fantasy perspective.

Nobody was higher on Moreno than me in pre-season, but I'm afraid I don't give him much long-term value either. His value is in his system and his experience, rather than his raw talent. Ball will learn, and I expect him to be the starter next year - if not Week 1, certainly by Week 10.

If I lose ths week I'm toast anyway because of head to head tie breaks so I will try to move McCoy. I had an offer for him already:

That deal is just as bad.

To trade one of those studs, you needs somebody locked in as an RB keeper next year. Murray is not.

I would have tried McCoy and Charles for Bernard if you are tanking. Make him an offer he can't refuse. Too late now though.
