worst poll i've seen yet. lol if you think fresno state, northern illinois, miami, or texas tech have accomplished anywhere near as much as missouri. and central florida 8 spots ahead of auburn? lol. i'd love to see you bet ball state to beat LSU, Auburn, and South Carolina on neutral fields.

But seriously, why do you have Auburn behind UCF, Ball State, Oregon State and Louisville? Do you have a reason?

:noidea:

This is one I can't explain...

Call it an oversight.

Since you are the first one I will critique yours.

Eliminate Notre Dame, Texas, and Michigan. I would not have eliminated Clemson. I have them 10th. Michigan St maybe but no more than 24th. Stanford deserves to be 5th based on playing a much tougher schedule. OU is ranked too high, I have them 19th.

You can make a case for UCF, maybe even Louisville, imo. Oregon State is looking better, but not above Auburn.

Ball State is the head scratcher. They lost to North Texas.

Discuss: Week 8 Top 25 voting

2 things to start:

Smart still not reconginzing Wisky's loss, and ranking them top 10 (something no B1G team should be)

VT at 6-1 still isn't good enough to make Boisestatefan's poll.

I would say both get the same amount of points for the slot and you divide points for 15th and 16th place. i have voted a tie before but i didnt tally the votes so i have no idea what the poll counter did.

I just split it and dropped the half points.

And red alert has posted 28 teams :L

Probably has a lot to do with that loss to a terrible Alabama team. Maybe it's the fact the defense held ECU to 10 points and GT to 10 points, two very high scoring offenses. I guess it could be the fact we have played teams that are a collective 25-14 this season. :noidea:

So funny to see people rank FSU #1 after their one win over an overrated Clemson team.
So funny to see people rank Oregon #1 after their one win over an overrated Washington team. :suds:

Florida St earned their #1 ranking, imo. The season still has a long way to go.

Also, I agree with a lot of Smarts posts but Wisconsin in the top 10 reeks of homer glasses even if you just remove the Arizona St game from the equation.

A 7 point true road loss where we outgained a top 5 team.

A one-point home win over a team whose only other losses were coin-flip road games against top 25 teams (And yes, the ND game was in Texas, but it was about 65% ND fans).

Five blowout wins.

Which teams that I ranked below us have better resumes? The Clemson team that lost by 40? Uh, no. The UCF team that lost at home? Uh, no. The Virginia Tech team whose best win (at East Carolina) is worse than ours and who lost by more than us? No. Who?
