I am sure it wasn't unanimous. There are idiots in every single fanbase. Nothing special about this at all as agitating as it may be.

I swear that Seattle loss a few weeks ago has sucked the life out of that team

Under the circumstances, I believe this would have happened at any stadium in the NFL. It would be different if the entire stadium was cheering. It wasn't close to that.

Same thing happened in KC last year when Cassel went down.

It'll happen again.

Houston's slump goes further back than that. They are only 4-8 over their last twelve games. Amazingly, they were 11-1 to start last season, before losing three of their last four regular season games. That seems to be where their slump started.

Yeah, somewhere along the way last season, the Texans were exposed and nothing has changed since then.

It's crazy to think that Houston was just 2-1 and on the verge of a big statement win against one of the better teams in the league (Seattle) and now they're looking like a team vying for a top 10 pick in the draft

As for the Schaub situation...I understand the fan's frustration but in my opinion people are being way too harsh on Schaub. He is after all the best qb the franchise has ever had (remember the David Carr days?)

Everyone that cheered on Schaub being injured and begged for TJ Yates...I'm glad he threw two picks including a pick six of his own...fans needed to see that Yates is no savior and talent wise he's not on the level of Matt Schaub and the production he's been able to have over the years

The grass is always greener on the other side. I agree those who think Yates would help this team are in for a rude awakening. Saw earlier that Vince Young said he could save this franchise and honestly I would love for them to give him a chance so he actually has to back up his words. Easy to say that when you are not on the team.

Yeah, just heard this. pretty bad. Niner fans got chewed out by joe staley and jed york for doing the wave while Calais Campbell was down on the ground with a serious neck injury.... It looked bad... but my brother was at the game and he said the wave had started before the injury and only a few people were participating, but then as the timeout took longer and longer and they weren't showing anything on the big screen more people started participating just out of boredom. He said they didn't realize how badly he was injured till they carted him off the field in a neck brace and then the fans gave him a standing ovation.

Mostly I am just embarrassed that our fans do the WAVE.

I am skeptical that VY will ever make it back to starting for a team, but who knows? If Houston does fall out of playoff contention, it might not be a bad idea for them to see what they have in Case Keenum, their third stringer. I saw him play a lot in college and I think he might be a good fit for that WCO. Saw him on a few series in the preseason and he was very effective.

LOL, could not agree more. A few years ago Seattle hosted Tennessee in the preseason and Stefon Johnson (the same kid that dropped the weight bar on his throat at USC) suffered a career ending leg injury and was on the field for at least 15-20 minutes. The fans began to get restless and started to do the wave and most didn't stop when to applaud him when he was carted off. It was embarrassing.

Kudos to the Texans players for putting those fans in their place.

“It just happened to Matt today, it could have been me any other day, so I’ll never agree with it, I’m never for it. I don’t stand for it. If they’re going to do that don’t show the f*** up. Period.” Johnathan Joseph said.

“For all that guy (Schaub) has done for this city and this team for fans to be booing him when the man is hurt and on the ground, that’s straight up disrespectful.” T.J. Yates said.

“I sure hope they don’t truly feel that way. That’s a pretty tough life if you’re cheering somebody else getting injured. That’s a man with a wife and kids.” J.J. Watt said.

“It’s bad when members of the other team are saying that’s messed up they would do something like that. It just shows no class.” Andre Johnson said.

“This is a guy that gives everything he has to the game of football, to this city, and does way more outside of this stadium that people seem to forget about. He’s a great teammate and a great person and when people react like that, it’s barbaric.” Brian Cushing said.

The WAVE had its moment. That moment is long gone.

Matt Schaub has always been a good QB. I remember his days playing for UVA. He lead that team to their last win over Virginia Tech. He has helped bring the Texans out of the cellar into contention in a big way. At one point, he was considered a top 10 QB by many. Now he is struggling I understand, and the fans deserve to be frustrated considering the expectations for the team, but to cheer for an injury is just wrong. No way around it. They need to respect him for what he's given to them.
