Really? Breaker99 creates a seattle hate thread at least daily or at the very least keeps one of his many bumped up with stupid posts. There are FAR more trolling SF fans on this site than Seattle fans and it isn't even close. Makes sense given there are at least 10x the total fan base up there for them.

Hey Doublejive, we have an awesome team right now with great chemistry and anything less then a championship would be a disappointment. I just have never liked tempting the sports gods and have never liked other teams trash- talking us. I also never get too high because it could and often does backfire. The Red Sox September collapse a couple years ago was a good case in point. Some of their fans were talking about 110 wins and championship and the whole nine yards from the start of pre-season. It looked like it may happen, too and the talk only got worse. Then September and the historical meltdown.

Other than the trolls at ESPN I haven't had a big issue with Seahawk fans. I don't revel in Seahawk losses other than it would put us ahead as far as the standings. I respect that team. And no I would never come to your boards and bash your team. I don't ever even lurk there. It's not that fucking important. I love my team but it's not life or death for me. I can't say I haven't had a few sarcastic responses but all in all, I don't hate your team or most of the fans.

The collapse had nothing to do with fans talking trash. Just like championships have nothing to do with fans talking trash. There is no "backfire" for bold fanbases. Sportsgods have no effect on the game, playmakers do.
