They are a better, more talented team, IMO.
But they are young.

The narrative so far is that the Rams are a 2nd half team and the Cowboys aren't. The path to 10 wins for the Rams probably means beating 2 of the following: Cowboys, Bears and Texans. Im not ridiculously optimistic but its not entirely possible that both wild cards could come from the West or the Niners could implode.

Rams are mostly scary because Fisher is crazy. Fake punts, onsides kicks, etc. The rams beat us last year because of blitzing, a fake field goal, and two 60 yard field goals. I remember when Fisher was the coach of the titans they tried three onsides kicks in the first quarter against Indy. He explained that he felt they neede to do something special to beat the COlts. THey led 21-17 after the first, but the colts were too strong in the end and came back to win.

Lol, that's how they feel as of late.

Wonder why?
You've forgotten already? It was 2 days ago

We have earned the right to expect to win every game we play at home. Don't like it? Beat us

Since Green Bay did it last year, I think they can do it again this year if need be :)

But I'm not so sure Seattle gets homefield anyway. They look tough at home in recent history, but they can be very average away from home. I think it's more likely the playoffs go thru San Fran again than Seattle

I actually feel like the 'early game effect' is a bigger deal than the crowd noise when it comes to the Seattle Home/Road split.

Nobody is beating Seattle at home if they get everyone healthy. There are levels to the NFL and Im not sure anyone else has Seattle's level.

I agree, but the opposite is true as well. Seattle will drop games on the road, and if they have to travel in the PO then they may not venture deep.

To answer the OP I would say team with the best shot would be:
-Green Bay
-Atlanta

Thats about it. I honestly don't see anyone winning in seattle. If SF can't do it which the last two matchups prove then I dont think anyone can cause contrary to popular belief I think SF has a great team.

But again to answer the ops original question , it would take a great effort by an elite QB and WR crew.

Also to the GB fans who bring up last year. remember that was in week 3 or 4. WAY before Seattles offense was fully functioning with our rookie qb. Wilson is a completely dif player now.

Don't give the #1 seed to Seattle just yet. They looked bad on the road in Carolina against a pretty bad team. But at home they looked unbeatable. If they do get the #1 seed and play like they did Sunday you can just pencil them into the SB.

But, teams rarely maintain that for an entire season. Jumping the gun in September is a mistake.

offensively they didn't look good vs carolina (10am start)

defensively. they held Newton to his worst game as a pro yardage wise.......

As somebody already mentioned, it's way too early for this. The Hawks have a ton of work to do before we can really see. I do think the Hawks can win enough road games to get HFA but it will take 5-6 and they need to be able to win in Candlestick in Dec. ( a very difficult task). The defense is good enough and the run game is good enough and Wilson should play better as the season goes on. Also, lets not just assume they will go unbeaten at home. Yes, they should with that advantage but late in seasons, there can be let-downs for subpar teams, key injuries, etc. Any team can win (or be beat) on any given Sunday in this league.

If I were to pick a team that could come in and win, it would be a team with a veteran, confident QB. That would be someone like Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees. The problem with those teams is their defense is suspect. They would have to really be fantastic to overcome the other side of the ball. Chicago worries me more than any other team. The defense is still stellar and could shut down Wilson, Lynch and co. Their special teams are also good and could break a big play or two and help them with field position. Our 12th man isn't a factor on the opposing defense like it is with their offense. The Bears have a running game to relieve the pressure and pass rush and Cutler could just do enough to beat us. It all hinges on their O-line being disciplined.

That stadium is a death sentence. I don't ever want to play there in the playoffs.

Very true. If Seattle can get through these games, they deserve to be #1.
