Wonder how many claims Aaron Dobson just got? Was VERY tempted to pick him up ten minutes ago and toss him into my slot for MBBRL. DOH!

I had an eye on him throughout the preseason as a potential sleeper but stopped paying attention as he nursed injuries and as Thompkins seemed to get more targets. I drafted Thompkins but now dropped him for Edelman. I guess the lesson is the Pats WRs don't need to wear names on their jerseys because none are any better than the other. Brady is just going to throw it wherever and it'll change week to week.

Looks he has a knack for getting open. Too bad he can't like catch and stuff. Dude could have had 150 yards and 2 TDs easy and Brady could have had a nice game.

how many more chances does he get after all those bad plays last night? Maybe they just blame the rain, NYJ had a ton of drops as well. Brady is just biding his time until Gronk gets back

I give dobson the benefit of doubt, this was his rookie debut, on a thursday night with a very short practice week... yes dobson had the preseason, but he only had monday through wednesday to practice healthy... Not saying dobson will be another calvin johnson or AJ green but he can definitelty be a legit WR2 for this team...

With Amendola out, it looks like Dobson is Brady's guy. As stated above, he has a knack for getting open, and his hands will come around. Just this how many points he would have had if he had caught half of the drops.......

Agree - at this point I'd say neither of the rookies are worth owning even with Brady throwing. Thompkins was 'the #2 guy' until the real games started, now Dobson gets an uncovered TD and he the next coming. Neither guy has shown an ability to get open with press coverage. Gronk will be back in a couple of weeks and Brady will finally smile.

With all that said, I drafted Thompkins as a flyer based upon preseason performance but after watching him perform in real games, he doesn't run crisp routes and neither does Dobson. With Gronk back and getting all the coverage attention, maybe one, or both, of them get the occasional TD or big game but it's unlikely they will be reliable fantasy assets.

Belicheck doesn't have much patience for mistakes. Saw a stat last night that after his five fumbles, Ridley got one carry in the remainder of those games. I don't think Dobson has a lot of room for additional drops without finding his way into the very back of the doghouse.

Can't believe there hasn't been a casting call in NE similar to the one in Gman-land. The pickings are awfully thin, but so are the in house options.

I played AD. Dola went down, Dez is banged up, not that I would sit him. So it left me with Dobson, Stills and Washington to play. I needed 2, so went with Dobson and Stills for now with Dez..

As a fantasy owner of dobson, after last nights game i am actually confidant with him... I actually would recommend starting him next week, i know i will... possibly even over edelman(especially in a non PPR league)...

That will be just fine as long as Brady feels the same. ... if not, you have wasted a spot.

The doghouse isn't the same for a rookie receiver trying to establish timing with Brady (and working on his comfort level in a game) as it is for a somewhat established player coughing up the ball. Holding the football isn't as difficult as catching one at the end of your range, and while he should still grab it, when he's more comfortable the one on the long ball is a one-hander. The rest of the night was rough too, but it was the kind of rough that you need game reps to fix. He is the number one by the end of the season IMO, and you need him to keep getting game reps to get him there.
