I dunno, Treff - in a 14-team league where you have to start 3 WRs, Julio, Demaryius and Wayne look awfully good.

Yeah, THAT is excellent, take Julio away. .. still good, but not something that one RB2 will make up for, especially a low end one

So you would recommend selling high on edelman and/or hartline while the going is good and maybe squeeze away with a mid to low end rb2? While keeping my tandem of jones/wayne/thomas in tact?

Seems like a stretch to get a decent RB2 for either of those guys (maybe both though?), but it's worth a shot! In a 14 teamer, there's surely someone WR needy and both have value of high as possible right now. No sense in blowing your load right out of the gate.

I'm in a 12-team PPR league. I have D. Bryant, D. Thomas (keeper), M. Colston and P. Garcon at WR. I have R. Bush at RB followed by a bunch of crap. In this league, I am able to start only 1 RB and 3 WR, but I'm still very concerned about a Bush injury.

Offered Colston (and Mark Ingram) to an owner for MJD (and James Jones). This owner happens to be deep at RB (also has Rice, Lacy, J. Bell and Pierce) while being WR challenged (he's starting Bowe and Andre Roberts this week).

I think the trade is a win-win for both. Thoughts?

If there is no flex then it is not a stretch... a third starting receiver is more valuable than a 3rd back... and if he has montee ball who is a flex option in most leagues then someone has to have a legitimate 3rd back who would be a 2 on other teams... I think he can definitely get a lamar miller/ gio benard or david wilson for edelman/hartline with some sweetener...

That's what I would do.............I wouldn't kill your strenght at WR for a slight upgrade at RB. Like previously mentioned, your WR's are great but take Julio out and now they are just good to very good. would have to be a guy like Forte, SJax or maybe Morris to swing that deal IMO.

I'd really go after Bell with your bench WRs - he should have a lot of value in a few weeks, and right now his stock is very low.

Ok thank you guys! For the time being as Terff mentioned i'll be holding onto Jones and the rest of my starting receivers. I'll work on what I can get off of my bench guys while they still hold high value. The help has been much appreciated!

another thing to think about... trade reggie wayne instead and look for a little more... Looking at your team though i would not trade julio or thomas for anyone...

Hartline for Bradshaw? Should I do this. I picked up Hartline off the waiver wire. I know the colts are loving Ballard, but I think that Bradshaw will see his fair of touches, and he can't be any worse than what I have. This also will enable me to keep Edelman as my backup WR and it may move Ball/Jackson to the bench as well. It'll give me a little breathing room until maybe someone desperate comes along for edelman.

I think you can do better, but if you are looking for immediate help then you must sacrifice a little value... so it all depends on the simple question: do you need to have a RB this week?? If yes then you have no choice, make the trade, if you can afford patience then dont make the trade...

I can wait since this week the guy I'm playing has great RB but little in the way of WR. Thanks for the help Milk. What do you think the value of hartline is. I am also worried that with how he played last year I want to try to move him ASAP because he can be a very up and down player, and with Wallace making a stink in Miami I think it throws that offense out of rhythm.

I'd trade Hartline for Bradshaw ASAP. Ballard is on IR. Hartline is a bench player for you and replaceable and with your RBs you need Bradshaw. Might be too late already.

I might try for a twofer....

Joquie Bell and say Miles Austin type. Not sure Reggie will be around all season for the Lions. Or Bell and BGE/Miller type.

MJD and 1. DMC and 1. You take on a little risk but get a couple of guys.

With ballard out it definitely makes bradshaw more appealing... But bradshaw was the lead back already, so this news does not improve bradshaws value that much... What this really does is brings back donald Brown into fantasy relevancy... The things against bradshaw still remain, he is a health risk, he is on a pass first team... I Would rather wait another week, hartline should have another big week since he is facing the colts defense... If he does have another very good week in a 14 team league you can trade him for the likes of Gio benard or even possibly MJD... The wait is a gamble, but it could pay off, and if you believe you are in no rush then why get someone who will average 6-8 points a week with not much potential of being better... I would recommend a quick pickup of either battle or donald brown...

Bradshaw in your starting line up is way better than Hartline on your bench IMO. I'm high on Hartline this year too but I say you make this deal.

Wrong.

Bradshaw was going to be the lead back once he learned the offense, He was not used that way in week 1 and Ballard was doing great in pass pro, so he got more snaps than Bradshaw because he knows the offense better. Bradshaw is a potential top 15 RB in a run-first offense with a very good young QB. This trade is a no brainer of you can still make it.

As for Julio's value, he was drafted at the very end of round 2 or the beginning of round 3 at the back end of the elite WR group. Nothing has happened to change his value all that much, so his value is still the same. You are not going to get any high end RBs like Richardson or Forte without a serious sweetener. Players like Ridley, Wilson, or Lacy would be good targets.

I think you best opportunity to work out a deal (aside from Bradshaw) would be something with the Spiller owner. He is a buy low candidate and you have Fred Jackson. If he has a strong RB2, packaging Jones and Jackson for his RB2 and another solid RB (maybe slightly better than FJAX) might be a good move.

I personally would not trade a top ten back for Julio. Julio is a great receiver, but I don't consider him elite fantasy wise. I'd need a healthy b marsh, dez, Calvin , or AJ green in return for a top ten back. Julio jones is great, but there are too many options on that falcons team to consider jones in the same league as the aforementioned players. Not to mention, he doesn't have an elite QB passing to him (Ryan is a tier below the elites.) Honestly, I'd rank d Thomas ahead of Julio as well.
