I for one am just happy that someone (finally) posted a thread about the titans (other than me of course).

Its been a lonely job but now that a colts fan has also decided to take on the burden maybe we can get someone else to join us?

The noises have been fairly quiet and vague, but it has been suggested that they are going to be a lot better than people think.

We're still trying to figure it out. No one knows yet if the Steelers O was really that bad or the Titans D was really that good (not likely). DT Jurrell Casey is a very large man and impressed yesterday. He hates the Steelers and had harsh words for them pre-game and post-game, quoted as saying "We stuck those Terrible Towels up their butts."

Everything seemed to be very impressed with Jake Locker as well. He's known for his rocket but came up weak on a couple of passes yesterday but showed poise.

The Steelers got rocked but they still have one of the very best head coaches in the league and they still have Big Ben.

I am pretty sure I saw a random post by a pundit a few days ago suggesting that the Titans will finish second in our division. Should I be concerned? I think the guy might have had them at 10-6.

Yeah, I did not check this one out yesterday. The Pats and my Colts were exposed, but still won.

What happened here?

OK, first of all....squeelers? What are you? 8?

Second, we sucked. Our offense couldn't move the ball. It was pathetic. No excuses for them. Anyone that played offense needs to hand in their game checks.

Given this is the second year in a row the titans have beaten the steelers and given how that worked out for both teams last year, I am not quite sure it signifies that an era of dominance by the titans is being ushered in, at least not just quite yet.

I am circling my calendar on September 29th. Jets/titans. It should be a clash of epic proportions. Can't wait.

Don't expect consistency. We beat the Steelers this week, we'll lose to South Dakota State next week. At least this year there seems to be accountability and literally everyone without the last name Adams is fighting week-to-week for their job. Many speculate that if there isn't vast improvement over last season at the bye week, Munchak will be replaced by Gregg Williams.

In 2008 we started 13-0 and were all screaming "Why don't we get no respect?" For the last five years Bud has handcuffed the team and we haven't played well enough to deserve any.

I'm not optimistic of real improvement until our house is cleaned, which is what should have started at Week 5 last season when we began setting records for defensive futility. Instead, no one was held accountable and Monday morning press conferences were the same rote week after week. "We're focused on the next opponent and will work to get better."

Maybe the Steelers will tank, decide it's time to go in a different direction and the Titans will pick up Mike Tomlin. You have no idea how excited Titans fans would be to once again have a legit head coach who demands accountability. Munchak is a players coach in the mold of Jeff Fisher and everyone likes him personally. But it's beyond belief that he's still the head coach at this point. All fingers point to Bud for being satisfied with the status quo and not firing Mike Reinfeldt sooner for his atrocious mishandling of the draft and the courtship of Peyton Manning.

I'll be shocked if that happens but who could possibly know? The D looked terrible in the preseason and we just won't know if Jake Locker will emerge this season or not. I'm not optimistic but that's probably because I'm also frustrated and angry. After yesterday and looking at our schedule, I predict 9-7.

Don't take it personally. I have hated the Squeelers since they stepped on our throats in the playoffs going back to when Harbaugh was our quarterback.

They beat the best team we ever had here in Indy the year Cowherder completely outcoached Dungy. They threw the ball 14 of the first 17 plays and were up 21 to nothing before he figured it out. And we still should have won. Kept a corner in the game that had been stabbed in the thigh in a domestic dispute with his wife and we gave up a 98 yard touchdown. Then there was the liquored up kicker.....

Jack Locker has big upside imo.

I watched him come up since his high school days. Great heart and a great athlete. Jake had very poor coaching in college that failed to hone he passing skills. Once he learns the art of pocket passing -- watch out!!

Well, it is pretty early to really know much. I was pretty disappointed in the Colts performance yesterday, but a win is a win. I am not sure whether the lack of defensive pressure on the quarterback or the play of our newly constructed offensive line concerns me more. But it takes time to develop cohesiveness. We shall see.

You and Hammer seem to have formed a good relationship with mutual affection for the other's team. Always nice to see that.

Can't really blame Ben. No run game = no setting up the pass. No protection at all and Todd Haley sucks as their OC.

Tomlin might be looking for a job after this season.

Tomlin isn't going anywhere. Nothing in the past forty years of the Steelers history says they are prone to making knee jerk decisions with their HC. Even in poor performing seasons, they get cut a ton of slack. I could see Haley getting axed.

It's either going to be Haley or Colbert.
