How many rookies will your team start?

My team may have 5 rookies starting from our draft class.

Dee Milliner is starting at CB.
Sheldon Richardson is starting at DT
Tommy Bohanon is starting at FB

Still yet to be determined.

Geno Smith may start at QB, still competing. Will start this week vs the Giants.

Brian Winters may start at LG, he missed the first 2 preseason games with a slight ankle sprain but is getting starting reps this week and may start vs the Giants.

Chargers will have 2 or 3: D.J. Fluker at right tackle and Manti Te'o at ILB. Keenan Allen may be a starter if Malcolm Floyd isn't ready for the opener. A couple of others might be on special teams but I'm assuming we're not counting those.

I think that first-round pick DT Sylvester Williams is the only rookie that will start in the first game. Hopefully, Montee Ball will be the starting RB by season end.

Tavon Austin should start eventually but maybe not right away. He'll certainly be playing every game he is available. Barrett Jones will likely fill in for the first O lineman that gets injured.

That would be awesome if Smith is able contribute right away, since our pass rush for the first six games might otherwise be rather lacking.

Spence is the only guy that should start, but he is a rookie and we will see in the next 2 weeks if he can not suffer a setback.

I dont think any of those team will start out and play 3 wr sets all game or even some of the game. In fact other than Philly you guys play 2 WR set teams. No way a Nickel CB is a starter vs these teams. No Way.

Now if all you were saying was, he will be your nickel CB, forget what I said.

If the Rams do that I think they are making a HUGE mistake. Rookies need to focus on One Thing until they get it at the NFL level, Then you add other dimensions.

Thats possible. But until proven other wise I wouldnt really trust the rest of the receivers. Personally I think the Rams receivers are interesting because they could be best in the division or just be terrible they are so young you just dont know.

Touches are great as long as it is not a 1/3/2 split in Runs, Catches, Returns. Whats the point then. If he is going to play in the slot, let him work the slot and returning positions until he proves that he can do it. Then add.

If they overload his plate he could just crumble, especially if there is a slow start or some drops.

Rams needs his Speed in the Passing Game more than anything else, focus on that. That is just my opinion.

Jeff Fisher has forgotten more about football than Ill ever know so Im sure there is a plan in place. They'll likely try to use him identically to Percy Harvin but the Rams have been lacking in speed in the passing and running game for so very long that its easy to see why Id like to see him get as many touches as possible.
