Dunno how it will translate to the majors, but at least Butler walks a lot and has a high OBP.
I don't believe using PEDs is cheating at all. So boom mind blown. Circumstantial evidence can be ample, but it's still circumstantial. Throwing him under the bus, because he gets suspended is petulant. So you believe Cruz is not a cheater, even though there is ample evidence connecting him to a clinic where banned substances were issued to several players, including Cruz. Just asking.

Every Ranger stops walking once they reach the majors.Dunno how it will translate to the majors, but at least Butler walks a lot and has a high OBP.
All 25 of them are going to have to pick it up.Well he's gonna have to figure out how to pick it back up.
He will take whatever the best offer is, be it to DH or to play outfield. Clearly by him taking his suspension, money is his motivating factor. So if he gets a better offer to DH for a team vs. playing defense, you can bet he will be DHing.

These idiots didnt pay in cash.
They have the check images/credit card records. There is a reason they all took it but Arod.
Clean/Natural they are just buzzwords. I am not going to get caught up in projecting morality on people that play a game for a living. If the MLB believed PEDs were as bad as they say, they would have done something 20 years ago.Wait... what?
I know you still have to be able to see & hit the ball (PED's do not help with that aspect)... butttttt everything else it helps with.![]()

Sorry if I don't trust the motives of a company that sold the evidence to the highest bidder. These idiots didnt pay in cash.

I'm not sure exactly how him taking the suspension makes money the motivating factor for him. It was just simply the smartest business decision for him. Who is to say the team didn't encourage him to take it as well. I mean what would it make the Rangers look like if they are telling him to appeal. Anyway, the two events have nothing to do with each other. Is it possible he excepts a job as a DH, sure... is it likely that team will only sign him to DH... No.
Be mad at the FO for not having anyone to replace him then.I'm not throwing him under the bus. But MLB thinks using PEDs IS cheating. As do most of the players. Gaining an unfair advantage by violating a well-documented law prohibiting certain banned substances is what it is. I like Nellie. We'll certainly miss his bat. But if he didn't cheat, he'd be in the lineup tonite vs the Angels. Pretty straight-forward.
Based on his stats? He's hitting .291...![]()
They knew about this in January.FO knew this was coming. And all reports are that JD tried to get a big bat. Didn't work for the pricetags other teams were asking. Not mad at all. Time to move on and make the best of what we've got.
Even if he appealed, there is no promise it gets entirely delayed till next year. The MLB seems to be pretty adamant about making a show of these suspensions at the moment. I'd rather him take the suspension now, and than appeal get really hot and then be suspended for parts of the season, the post season, and the start of next season.
