In their matchups Eli was facing an awful defense and Brady was facing one of the best pass defending defenses in the league.
Don't include the game the referees saved you. Wilson has talent, but I'm not convinced he's a franchise QB. IMO, Seattle will look for, if not, have a new QB in 2 seasons.

I know fantasy football is not a great barometer of skill, but Eli was my qb last year and he really screwed me. had several games last year where he scored less than ten points. Really unpredictable. Like when they got crushed by the falcons 34-0.
I don't give a shit about his fantasy performance, but his inconsistency is what sets his brother apart. He has had some bad playoff games, and he has had some games that ended badly against good defenses, but I would still easily rather have Peyton with a game on the line. He is a damn good quarterback, playoff shortcomings and all. His brother played well with some good defenses, and earned those Super Bowl wins. Peyton never had a defense like Eli's. That defense consistently made plays and stopped some very good offenses with the game on the line. Also, while he deserves credit for great drives late, neither defense he played in the Super Bowl was all that good. The 18-1 defense had a decent season in terms of points, but some games were over real quickly and numbers are skewed a bit as a result, I believe. The other defense was bad.
Eli will probably end up in the hall on the strength of two Super Bowl victories, but he's not Peyton. If he didn't share a last name I'm not sure people keep trying to make that a real discussion.

1) It was not an analysis, it is an opinion.
2) I don't have an opinion on who wins the AFC East
3) RG-3 CAN be a great QB but I like Russell Wilson.
Is this a football board or is this a "get all defensive and piss in your wheaties board?"
If what I said was offensive, just wait til the season starts!
1) semantics are nice.
2) I don't have an opinion about who wins the arc east either.i do have an opinion as to who wins the NFC east where the redskins play, however.
3) the NFL rookie of th year IS a good qb, better than Wilson, and not really debate able here on planet earth.
He can't make the throws a Brady or manning or Rodgers can. I didn't say he sucks. But considering him an elite option is absurdity at his finest. Anyone in their right mind would easily take any of this three before Brees, no questions asked. I bet a lot take RG3 or Russell Wilson over him as well for their upside. Matt Ryan is a comparable option. Brees isn't the no questions asked I take him guy like Brady manning, or Rodgers are.
Brady and the patriots have been the most overrated team and QB the last 5 years. And when your back up comes in and wins 11 games that says more about the system than the QB......
People say Drew Brees had a bad year last year
63% completion percentage 5177yds 43td 19int with no head coach or OC......
The guy on here saying he is not elite is an idiot. If people are calling it a bad year when you lead the league in Tds and yards then you are the definition of elite.
He is not elite. Anyone who would even consider taking drew Brees over Peyton, Brady, or Rodgers would never have a job in the NFL again.

Brees is another one of those guys that wants to throw to pad his stats. The Saint can run the ball when they want to but Drew chooses to throw a lot. The Saints were not a balanced offense and that is why they struggled, well that and a terrible defense.
