I can't imagine him playing offensive tackle. Stafford would have to start throwing overhand just to get it over his helmet.

I think he'd be a great 3rd down back. Put Stafford between him and Michael Williams in the gun and dare the defense to blitz.

Can you imagine 270 lb OLB Clay Matthews flying full speed around the tackle on a stunt only to run stone-cold into a 400+ lb human Pepsi machine? He'd go back to the sidelines on a cart wondering what he did with his algebra homework...

Slim him down to about 360 pounds or so and get him running a sub 5 second 40 and you'd have yourself the ultimate H-back.

Extra OT in passing formations? Check.
Lead blocker? Check.
Receiving threat? Prolly not.

But that one time he is able to leak out into space he would absolutely destroy a CB trying to tackle him in the open field...

I apologize for my stoner rants.

I'm gonna go make this happen on Madden now though. 'Bout to have myself a 6'10" 375 lb TE here in a few minutes... oh yeah!

No apologies necessary. I've got some day dreaming to do now while I hide from my boss.

Did you buy Madden 13? Did you buy NCAA 14?

No and no. I rock Madden 09'. Tried Madden 11, didn't like it, tried Madden 13, hated it. The players move all randomly and not in ways they would on a football field at all.

I'm 18 years into my franchise right now, and I think I can play 30 years on it, so I still got some gametime left in it...

Since this has become our defacto "remaining free agents" thread:

I think Laurent Robinson is worth a look in the same manner as Austin Collie. He's an injury risk for sure, but bring him in for camp and then cut him when we go to our final 53. Gives us another in-season injury replacement option...

Are you making up league rules as you go along? How in the hell does that give us another in-season injury replacement option if we cut him?

????? Is there a rule that I am not aware of saying that we can't re-sign a player who was cut during training cap if that player has signed elsewhere. He would be a free agent and able to sign with anyone he chose, including a team that cut him in training camp.

So exactly what is it that you are not understanding here? TP says it gives US another option if we sign him and then never practice him but then cut him before we go to 53. How does that give us another option if he is CUT? Just like you said, he would be able to sign with anyone he choses.

And if he's a free agent we'd be able to sign him if necessary. Wow you're thick.

...and you call me thick...555

This does not give us any more of an option than any other team.

Other than the fact that he went through training camp with us and knows the offense.

Just because you can't comprehend what you're reading doesn't mean you need to keep putting my posts up every time there's a question. We realize that you don't understand, but it's hard to post with crayons and pictures to make it easier for you...

You cannot have it both ways...either you sign him and never practice him and then put him on PUP or you sign him and practice him. Make up your mind.

Ok, so if we sign him and practice him, which is what I took his post to mean, but he doesn't make the 53 man roster why could we not re-sign him later in the year if he isn't playing elsewhere?

That is clearly what TP was saying. Having gone through our camp he would know our offense so it could be a relatively seemless transition.

I'm not in agreement with his premise but that is irrelevant here. Thus I ask, and will ask again, by what rule would what he is suggesting prevent that scenario from being a possibility.

If there is one then I am not aware of it and would like to know. If there isn't one then just say that you were wrong. As you said, you can't have it both ways, you are either right in that there is a rule in place preventing it or you are wrong. Which one is it?

We're discussing two different scenarios here, please try to keep up.

And remember- the less you post the smarter you look...
