Hill is as steady as the come as a combo guard, but I'm still not 100% sold on him as a full-time starter. Our backcourt was atrocious against the Heat. Hill was extremely passive, while Stephenson was an inconsistent mess. I'll give the Heat props for making Roy Hibbert look like the second coming of Wilt Chaimberlain, though.

you shouldnt be sold on him as as starter, he showed to be very indecisive and turn over prone if you put the full court press on him. the top teams in the east will not forget that and they are not going to get worse on defense. Hill is more of a liability than a steady starting guard.

Yeah, but then the Hawks are horrible. I think the Wiz get in and Boston. 1 of the 2 at least probably both.

Josh Smith is one of those players who gets a lot of highlight plays and puts up good stat lines from time to time, but he does not do the little things to help his team win. Atlanta needs to sign somebody, but losing Smith really won't hurt provided they can get a decent scorer in free agency.

Okafor is a nice veteran role player for the Wiz.

My projected East standings:

  1. -pass-
  2. Brooklyn
  3. Pacers
  4. Bulls
  5. Knicks
  6. Atlanta
  7. Washington
  8. ???

Brooklyn at 2 is a little extreme.

I don't see any way that they beat the Bulls or Pacers in a 7 game series. Nor do I think they will have a great regular season record due to missed games from the vets. I agree that the Pacers have some issues, mainly depth and PG, but they are shaping up as a really scary team as long as George and Hibbert are there.
