You saying the Spurs lost game 6 vs the Heat winning is every bit as lame as Heat fans saying they lost game 2 vs Dallas vs giving Dallas credit for not giving up and finding a way to come back and win.

Now , what have the Heat done? How about become the most fun, exciting team to watch in any team sports for the last 3 years. They find a way to entertain their fans almost every night, without exception.
Winning back to back championships doesn't hurt anything either.

One thing about the Heat is that they are very good for the NBA!! Love them or hate people are watching their games!!

Folks are either watching to see them succeed or watching to see them fail, but regardless of the reason, people are watching!!

Like I said anyone who has "2" favorite teams in any sport isnt a true fan. I bleed the colors of my teams no matter how good or bad. Any die hard fan of any team will agree with this. Those who support multiple teams in my eyes are not on the same level when it comes to debating sports.

Rationality is the number one ability needed to have an intelligent conversation about a topic. Rationality is objectivity. "True fans" tend to lack both of these qualities and then we get Sman posts and military troops who bomb people they have never known for oil.

Blindly following something or some one does not make you a"true fan". It makes you gullible and unwilling to evolve. Gullibility, irrational thought, and unacceptance are what is wrong with this world.

Be proud of yourself. :suds:

lebron gave away the 2011 'ship.. so what?

Dallas took it then, we took it this year. Every year there are players who under perform in the finals. in 2012 it was james harden and westbrook who failed to show up. take credit away from miami all you want. wont stop the banner from being raised.

i watched. i also watched the spurs win the WCF 4-0 with the same lineup. i also saw the Spurs 24 seconds away from a title with 5 point lead. manu played bad, no doubt about it. But it's not like Wade played up to his abilities. Lebron had some clunker games. Bosh did too. Miami found a way to overcome it. SA didnt.

Back to Back.

Uh, the person that said that is raptor4life and he doesn't have the Lakers in his teams under his avi, this would seem to indicate that he is not a Laker fan, moron!! It's comments like this that show that Laker fans are in your head and kill your credibility even among Heat fans!!

Also, only fans whose teams have no history claim that history doesn't matter!! Past history is a good predictor of future actions. Since the Lakers have so many championships in their past history, it would be a good indicator that they will do what is necessary to win more in the future!![/

You don't find it foolish that beaten down Laker fans to try to preach history lessons and compare histories when the franchises were born 41 years apart?
Is it really wise to compare a modern expansion team to a team that won a championship 66 years ago while beating up on the Oshkosh All Stars, Tri City Blackhaws, and Rochester Royals on the way to a title?
Do those wins make you want to chest thump?

Say what you want, but the biggest fan base by FAR to hate on the Heat are Laker fans?

WHY is that?

actually Flauge is a good Heat fan, and even though I obviously don't agree with everything the guy says he can tell you who was on the Heat team from jump street. so on a fan level he'll always get my respect. it's clowns like Turnip who I laugh at because he'll bend EVERY effort(no matter how low or conniving) to justify all his actions...

A team wins a title and they come out of the woodwork every time.

I have never seen so many Alabama Crimson Tide SEC bandwagon fans.

so, being a bandwagoner makes one "open minded" and "willing to evolve...?

just askin'...

Quoting words that are not in the post? I did not say that.

No where did I mention my thoughts on bandwagon fans. I simply stated my ideas of the negativity around blindly following and condemning others preferences that have no bearing on your life.

I bandwagon quite frequently for reasons so shallow I would not consider myself a fan of that sport.

Band wagon fans are the TRUEST FAN of the sport. If you truly enjoy a sport and appreciate what it takes to accomplish what the players are accomplishing then why would you want to see the Hornets play? You don't.

You want to see the game played at it's best for the right reasons.

This really leaves only a handful of teams that one can be a fan of and still be a true fan of basketball. But that would be rational, and fans are not rational so I will not condemn a person for standing on the sinking ship, that is your choice. But I certainly will not condemn someone for jumping off the sinking ship. That would be a rational action.

Fair enough. Im sure the Heat have a few dozen loyal true fans.

When I see "fans" that have 2 NBA teams on their favorites list it makes me laugh.

As I stated it is hard to take debating with them serious. Dont know whay just how I feel

Yeah, they are in Atlanta, too. But they aren't wearing their jerseys anywhere near Phillips Arena. I guess they change their shirts before they go downtown. LOL
