his first few were lean

then ainge happened and the rest is history

its not like doc came here with a loaded team...they struggled with him and grabage talent sans pierce.

im ok with it as are most C's fans...doc really does love this team and city...this is an opportunity for him to get another ring

Cs don't want to pay top dollar for someone to coach a rebuilding team. Which is scary in a sense - I think Rivers had 3 years on his contract which likely means Ainge et al think the C's will take longer than that to rebuild.
