What a difference Kinsler makes just having him back in this line-up.

He's probably on the clock after tonight. I would like to hear from Maddox concerning what these kids need to do to get through a major league line up and what's being done to address it.

Seems that is a gaping hole in both Grimm and Tepesch game. Coaches rarely speak but would be interesting to hear what he says rather than some standard spiel from Wash.

To me this would be an excellent job for someone like Greg Maddux (or Kenny Rodgers).

It makes a huge difference. All the morons wanting to trade him in the offseason have nothing to say now.

I wondered when Matt Treanor when he was here or when LAD did not pick him up for this year who was going to grab him to coach. Not as a C coach ... but I could see him even as a catcher helping develop pitcher's thinking process for how to handle game plan.

I could see Treanor as a manager sometime for somebody too.

Just saw that your boy, Taylor Teagarden hit a 3 run dinger tonight for the O's. Davis had two more, too.

I don't know what to think about Davis. He's going all Roy Hobbs on baseball right now.

Buck Showalter? Who knows? Maybe, sometimes it's as simple as changing locations. I'm pretty sure he was done here.

Agreed. He was never going to put it together here. Too much pressure.

Think its McClellan. He's not a short-guy kinda pitcher so unless Wolf crashes between now and the time Soria is ready ... IMO it is McClellan. (posted that on the other board after I asked you the question ... and neither of us could remember who #7 was).

(and technically Soria doesn't qualify for "gets back" since he has never been "here" to get back to.)

it was interesting to see the contrast in pitchers last night. Cotts works the corners, was up and in as opposed to Grimm who at times seemed to be just slinging the ball, often leaving the fastball in the middle of the plate.

Cotts has been lights out. Dont know if you can find any team that can best Cotts,Ross,Scheppers and Nathan when we need to protect a lead from the 6th and on.
