I found out a long time ago that the best I would probably ever do handicapping sporting events was 56 maybe 57 percent. And that takes a lot of work.

I also found out a long time ago that I could hit upwards of 75 percent, with little to no work at all, simply by finding a guy with a rain cloud over his head.

Well, this is looking a lot like the 2012 Tigers with the streakiness of the hitters. Despite being one of the top scoring teams in baseball, they go through a stretch where they don't score in 20 of the past 21 innings. I'm willing to give the Pirates pitchers some credit, but Burnett was all over the place last night, and we should have made him pay more.

That said, I did pick the D-Backs (in early April over on the CBS board) to be a surprise playoff team, and said the Dodgers would be the underachievers of the year. Yeah, still plenty of season left for that to reverse itself, but correct so far.

On the CBS boards I took the Blue Jays to be a playoff team and I think I might be eating crow early this year on that one.....

Pretty sure I had the Braves beating the Tigers in the WS though.

NL.... Nationals, Cardinals, Dodgers (Braves, Giants, WC)

Los Angles is messing me up. Toronto, Nationals under performing

AL -- I picked the Yankees, Tigers and Angels (oops) as division winners, and Blue Jays (oops) and Rangers for Wild Cards.

In the WS, I had the Reds and Angels. Oh well ....

Unlike the Tigs all those teams have low team salaries, the Yankees...I mean Tigs.
