Understood if he took a job immediately following the Fiesta Bowl. Wish he had if he was going to leave and if what is he saying is true, that he always wanted the Philly job, then I don't understand why he did what he did and just didn't go right away.

But to announce you are coming back, have this entire place in a frenzy of excitement and then to announce you are going to Philly out of nowhere with less than 3 weeks until signing day is a bush league move.

No one had any idea he was still in talks with Philly, our AD was completely blindsided, no one knew.

Well they are still feeding us that nothing serious is going to happen. Both Chip said he feels confident in what is happening, the AD just yesterday said he doesn't expect much and the beat writer for the team said NCAA sanctions never had a bearing on Chips decisions. SO we will see.

Mark Helfrich who has been our OC is going to be our new HC. Oregon likes the continuity of the whole situation. We have a great history of promoting from within. Helfrich brings same mindset and style as Chip did. So there won't be much change in our system.

The huge reason we wont offer Peterson is because we like what we got and this style and Peterson would bring in a whole new system and it would take us a couple years to adjust and get going under him.
