catching up on PVR
- first couple of drives for redskins were just clinical
- makes it a much easier game when you can get 8 by running on 1st down
- RG3 on one leg already. wonder how well the duct tape will hold.
- holy shit Lynch - what a save on that fumble. one handed scoop for +18
- nice to see the Seadogs offense getting their shit together in the 2nd. was getting worried there.
- huh. one legged QB vs a one legger kicker. ?
- I would like to see Deangelo Hall burned bigtime (and repeatedly). he's being cuntish out there.

2nd half
- Lynch loses the ball at the goalline? that just doesn't happen.
- nice also to see the Seadogs defense getting their shit together, too. was getting worried.
- Money Lynch!! great to see him burn Hall on that run too
- - holy shit, nice hustle by RW3 to get in front of that to block inside the 5.
- holy shit tunrover at the 5!! and RGknee is toast. ugh. awful to see.
- - glad it wasn't a dirty or questionable play that did it. would want no part of that
- interesting to see Seahawks run plays on 4th down late in the game, too. Guess the 30 seconds is worth more than field position.

- would like to see a rematch with a healthy Griffin. good to see him walking on the sidelines.

good game. on the ROAD.
scary 1st quarter - gotta get that cleaned up!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

apologies. avoided the thread whilst watching the game.
to avoid exposure to spoilers.

man this team was rolling after the Q1 jitters. just fucking beautiful.
(helped that the opposing QB was in hop-along mode, so the opposing defense never got a rest.)
glad it didn't come down to Haushka from 47 yards!

Our coaching staff was retarded to leave him in there. Fucking retarded. What was at one point a slightly torn LCL, maybe some menisucs damage (1-2 month deal) is now a torn MCL, MINIMUM!!!!!

I don't think we have a shot of winning with Cousins, but that was so dumb.... They kept him in because he said he felt he was OK. ALL ATHLETES SAY THAT!!!! HES\'S NOT A DOCTOR!!!!!

BTW, good win Seattle. You played fantastic and stuck with it. It as a good wn. Good luck moving forward.

Thanks. I hope Griffin is OK and can heal up and be ready to go next season. His knee looked like it had almost zero support on his last play where he tried to pick up the horrible snap. He definitely shouldn't have been in there.

Thought it was kind of interesting that for all the talk leading up to the game of how the Seahawks don't play well on the road, they were the only road team that pulled out a W this weekend. The Seahawks now have wins against 4 of the 5 NFC playoff teams as well. The only one left? Atlanta. Get it done Seahawks!

/Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for RG3.

thank you sir.
we both have exciting teams that should only get better.
I hope they let that knee heal completely!
it was really a shame to see him hobbled like that, even before the final wobble.

So I got to see a clinching game of a baseball series where my team got up 6-0 and then lost and follow it up with a playoff football game where my team got up 14-0 and then lost.

Ugh.

I hope RGII gets 100% better. At his age and in his health, odds are that he does. His ineffectiveness (albeit against a hell of a D) when his mobility was reduced highlights the need for him to work on his pocket play and passing in general. His injury could be a blessing in disguise.

The Seahawks were impressive. They just kept plugging along despite the early deficit. I don't think it's a stretch to think they'll move past Atlanta with the way they're playing.

I don't think so. His passer rating was off the charts this year. His passing game is great. It's not just your running that is impacted by a bad knee. It hurts your plant and delivery as well.

Shanny is a freaking idiot. Just...just...idiot. I'll just copy and paste my FB status. It's easier.
Mike Shanahan is a dummy. YOU went with YOUR gut regarding a players health? He was just "hurt" not "injured"? This sir, is why you have the huge medical staff you do. So that YOU, a coach with no medical training, don't have to make decisions about player injuries. Throwing your team doc, one of the most respected in the business, under the bus, is probably not a good idea. Prayers for RG3, class act that one.

My uncle responded saying to shut up "he's a football player, paid to play injured, etc. etc." Complete bull. You protect your assets. Your rookie QB who is already INJURED, not hurt, INJURED, is someone to protect. Starting him? That's fine. But he was slowly working toward that injury. The field was crap, everyone knew it. A compromised knee already on a crappy field? Asking for trouble. Throwing Andrews under the bus just peeves me. He's a freaking doctor.

This was also evident. I'd love to see some vids of both his usual motion and his from tonight. Shanny also said this wasn't true. Come on. The whole world knew it. Playing hurt is okay, really, it is. There are things you play through. There are knee injuries you play through. But the only reason he was in the game that long was because it was the postseason. Gosh...this is why I could NEVER be in the pros. Athletes well being>>>>>EVERYTHING ELSE.

Yeah, I understand the frustration given your position. RG3 has gotten better about protecting himself, but there was a run early on that exemplified health vs. yards. He could have just stepped out of bounds and instead tried to cut back on the defender and get a few more. Not worth it. Coach and player need to be smarter. At least they stopped doing the straight up option plays they were calling early in the year. That stuff was straight up stupid.

I'm not that worried about RG3 though. I think he'll be okay. MOST, MOST, MOST rookies do not make it through a full season their first year. It's just pretty rare as their bodies adjust to a longer schedule, more practice, and playing against faster/bigger guys. I think he'll be fine.

But if they were up 14-0 and he's not right, let your competent backup come in and play. Might have been a better result tonight, too. Hard to watch that game tonight.

Two last things on the game:

(1) It was loud as fuck in there tonight. Never have been in a stadium that loud before. I stood for probably 95% of the game - should have just bought standing room seats for $70 less.

(2) After the game, there is a long, winding sidewalk back to the subway station. It's nearly a mile walk. As you walk, you go past lots of newly built townhouses with tiny front yard. In one of these front yards, a Seattle fan had stopped and taken out his laptop and was trying to get the Internet off one of the houses. "Not getting a signal" he says to his Seahawks' friend, who looks annoyed/tired. As the line trudges by:
Eloco - "Hey, you know there is a Starbucks just a short walk up the road."
Guy (very hopeful) - "Oh really?!?"
Eloco (now 20 feet past the guy) - "no, not really, asshole"

Whole line laughs. It eased the pain just a smidge.

Redskins OT Trent Williams slapped Seahawks CB Richard Sherman at the end of Sunday's game and wanted to apologize publicly. He released a statement through his agent Ben Dogra of CAA Sports: "I want to take this opportunity to apologize for my actions that took place following tonight's game. It was a hard fought game between two great teams and I let my emotions get the best of me. To Richard Sherman, the Seahawks, Mr. Daniel Snyder, Coach Shanahan, Mr. Bruce Allen, my teammates, and all the fans...I am truly sorry. I feel as though I've taken many strides to be a better person this season and this is not how I wanted it to end. And for that, I apologize for my actions."
