he will have a job next season as at least D coordinator if he wants it.
I'd put money on Lovie Smith being the next coach for Kansas City.

The O-line has been sub-par for 4 years now. Martz seemed to have found a way around last season until Cutler and Forte both went down. It was the best the offense had looked since Grossman's MIRACLE start to the 2006 season. I don't understand why Martz was let go. I feel it ultimately cost Lovie his job.
Mixed reports on Ron Rivera - I'm now hearing he might come back. But I'm guessing tomorrow is going to be Bloody Monday.
So far:
Andy Reid (Eagles)
Pat Shurmur, Tom Heckert (HC, GM, Browns)
Lovie Smith (Bears)
Romeo Crennel (Chiefs)
Chan Gailey (Buffalo)
Mike Tannenbaum (GM, Jets)
Norv Turner, A.J. Smith (HC, GM, Chargers)
Ken Whisenhunt, Rod Graves
...
I bet out of those 8. 5 of them are head coaches next year on another NFL team and the other 3 are Coordinators.
I'm skeptical about Turner, in that prediction.
There's talk that Nove could become the Cowboys O.C..
Bruce Ariens is a candidate for the Chargers head coaching position, while there's talk that assistant GM Jimmy Raye could becme the GM. No talk of Andy Reid in S.D..
I think Jon Gruden either goes to S.D. or Philly, maybe the Browns.
I will be very surprised if Gruden ends up in San Diego.
Despite public protestations he's happy in his current position as a television analyst, Jon Gruden will interview with NFL teams for their head coaching position, according to people with knowledge of the situation.
Over the past few weeks, teams have quietly contacted Gruden and/or his representatives to gauge Gruden's interest. In response, Gruden and/or his representatives informed teams Gruden would speak to them once the regular season ended.
Well, the regular season has ended, and Gruden will begin talking to those teams maybe as early as Monday. Gruden is currently an analyst for ESPN and has said publicly he will stay at the network.
However, privately, the Gruden camp has acted differently, and let it be known the former coach is interested in returning to the NFL. This doesn't mean he will return. This means he's interested in doing so if the right job opens up.
Two teams to pay close attention to regarding Gruden are Philadelphia and San Diego (although the Chargers might focus on a younger coach).
