ND does not belong to any conference. Lou said you should have to win your conference to go to a bcs bowl.. Your point is moot.. They have no conference and therefore no ccg = no bcs.. I am absolutely happy with how well my team did and its even icing on my cake or gravy on my biscuits ( whatever saying floats your boat) especially considering I was really expecting a 8-9 wins.. You did find the flaw in my logic. Unfortunately for you, IT'S A TRAP! It's the same flaw as you had in yours. Specifically, Holtz said you should have to win your conference to go to a BCS game. That is NOT the same as saying you should have to be in a conference to go to the BCS. That IS the same as saying that IF you are in a conference, you should have to win it to go to the BCS.

Furthermore, there are ten slots in the BCS bowls, but currently only six of them are set aside for conference champs. If we go by your system, then we end up with Utah State, Boise State, and UCF in the BCS games and lose Notre Dame, Oregon, and oh yes, your Florida Gators (NIU stays either way this year, sorry Sooners). HM. I WONDER WHICH I'D TAKE.
